ЇХАВ КОЗАК ЗА ДУНАЙ (EIN KOSAKENLIED / AIR COSAQUE) - Ludwig van Beethoven

Generalmusikdirektor Vladimir Jurowski schickt zum Jahrestag des Überfalls Russlands auf die Ukraine gemeinsam mit Solist:innen aus der bevorstehenden Produktion Krieg und Frieden und weiteren Sänger:innen der Bayerischen Staatsoper einen musikalischen Gruß in die Ukraine.
Das ukrainische Volkslied "Їхав козак за Дунай" (ein Kosakenlied; Text: Semen Klimowski) das zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts auch in Deutschland unter dem Titel „Schöne Minka, ich muß scheiden“ (Text: Christoph August Tiedge, Musik: Ludwig van Beethoven) Bekanntheit erlangte, wird in allen fünf Strophen gespielt.

General Music Director Vladimir Jurowski, together with soloists from the upcoming production War and Peace and other singers from the Bayerische Staatsoper, sends a musical greeting to Ukraine on the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian folk song "Їхав козак за Дунай" (a Cossack song; text: Semen Klimowski) which also gained fame in Germany at the beginning of the 19th century under the title "Schöne Minka, ich muß scheiden" (text: Christoph August Tiedge, music: Ludwig van Beethoven) will be performed in all five verses.
