I was wondering if you could in your diy patterns, where you list the color beads needed for the design, if you could also list a ballpark figure of the count for each. It would be really handy. Keep up the great work!
Awesome! More Pixel Art Shop videos. Thanks Kyle. Question: I have an application I am using which converts my images into beads. I notice the detail in color is higher if I use perler and hama beads. Would you suggest this? And have you ever worked with hama?
Well, you could always try mixing brands to get the biggest palette possible but the problem I've found is that they don't always melt together well. I think Artkal has the largest palette at the moment but I prefer Perler's melting consistency so I'm all Perler, all the time.

In one of your shop talk videos you mentioned that you make a piece twice. One to practice and learn how the piece is made and one for the video. So do you keep both pieces or sell one of them?

I saw a news story of a guy who recently did a huge portrait with 75,000 beads (I'm not entirely sure if that's an accurate estimate) Anyway I found out that he used perler beads, but every tutorial I've looked up mentions ironing and the beads on his are flawless. (Although he briefly mentioned he glued them to a piece of wood. I was unsure if he glued each one by hand or used pegs or.... Anything really) Anyways. I wanna do something big like that. Maybe not *as* large. And now I know I can do it mirrored so one side is not melted at all so you can see each individual bead. Time to find deals on beads and a bead planning program so I can do portraits.
