Awhhhh… thank you, Emma! That’s the exact feeling I want to contribute to. It is kinda nice to just let your hair down, be a little silly, and make something pretty out of it all if you’re lucky. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Ya made my morning!! I wish you the happiest holidays ♥️⛄️♥️⛄️♥️
Thanks, Kat!!! I really did like this one. I love poinsettias so much. I tried to do one of those "one stroke" flowers. I just cant make it work on a rock. However, the cardboard backing of my legal pad is stunning right now, hahahahahaha! Hope you have a holly jolly Christmas!
Oh my…..sooooooo pretty! I love it and, as usual, you make it look so easy too. When you started adding the lines to the petals I was thinking, no, it looks so pretty like it is, but you did your thing and it was so right, it made the petals and leaves even prettier. I’ve been painting a few Christmas wine bottles and I think this would look beautiful on one. Thanks again for your time and talent. I always look forward to Wednesdays and Sundays to see what you are going to create❤️
LOL.... I thought the exact same thing when I started adding those line... I'm like oh no, urhhh, urmmmm, wait?, it might be ok, cool, yes, it worked out! LOL!!! Anytime I get the paintbrush out I get nervous. hahaha I'm a dotter not a painter but I like to pretend. I bet this would look pretty on a bottle or a glass. I really did like the way it turned out. I hope you have some super happy holidays! Good luck and thank you so much for watching and being here :)
@@JaDeLRocks that’s funny….I love hearing what was going through your mind when creating it. You may not feel you are a painter, but you paint as if you are.😊, but I do understand. I have people who like my dotted rocks and then find a painted design they want and I have to tell them, I don’t have that talent. Lol. Where do you get your inspiration for your dotting designs?
I get my inspiration from around me. This poinsettia.. here’s the honest truth. I typically put fake poinsettias on my porch in my plant stand. They turned pink and brittle so last year I tossed them. I couldn’t afford to replace them this year and it’s driving me nuts but it’s a little chunk better spent elsewhere. So this ordeal got the flower on my mind. Then I saw a one stroke poinsettia video that was gorgeous. I thought oh yes please!! Pulled out a rock and boooooo I bombed! Haha! I’ve tried this brush technique so many times on my rocks and it’s always terrible. I wondered if it was the surface so I flipped over my legal pad that I doodle ideas on… and painted on the back!! It was really cool and worked way better. Either because it was bigger or the surface and I’m betting it was both. So I said fine… I pulled up a picture of a poinsettia and said… let’s do it JaDeL’s way…. This is what turned out. The rocks in my videos are rarely duplicates. It just kinda happens. You’ll notice sometimes in the videos that I’m thinking.. lol, I swap tools, colors, etc. Overall… it’s an object, a color combo, or idea that inspires me. Most of the time I’ll see an idea, like say someone painted a tree…. I’ll wonder what my tree would look like and I sit down with the idea of tree. 🤷♀️ I might just be a weirdo 😂😂😂
@@JaDeLRocks oh JaDel, THANK YOU for telling the story of how this rock was created and what inspires you. You shared a personal part of you, and I absolutely enjoyed it! I’m still at the stage where I will either recreate from those like you that share, encouraging others to try your creation or I take bits and pieces from pictures I see online and create from there. I hope one day I’ll get to your level and be able to envision and create my own designs! Take care and happy dotting😊😀
I love this so much! Being from FL there's no cool rocks to find BUT I just picked up some river stones from the mountains while on vacay. I'm so anxious to try THIS on one. On natural stones that aren't smooth, do you do anything to the surface for prep other than base coat? I'll share what I come up with :-) You've inspired me to try my hand on rocks!
Awwwww this is great Pauline ♥️♥️♥️. If your rock is super rough I give it a base coat like normal but then I resin it. Some folks use spackle and sand, some use mod podge… some just wing it rough. I can’t find rocks in my area either… I order them online most of the time. I really hope you like painting rocks. It’s so fun. They make great gifts too. I can’t wait 🤗
@@JaDeLRocks thank you! :-) Still in the mountains but back home to FL this weekend. Having dot withdrawal...will be back in my art room before the laundry room. Dirty camping clothes can wait.. the dots are calling me and I must go! :-D
Awhhhh, thank you for taking the time to leave that terrific comment… it really means a lot to me. I was just about to hit the hay when I saw it. Thanks again ❤️⛄️
Wow, wow, wow 🥰 ! Guess where i’m heading next ? Yes, you’ve guessed right. To my studio and recreating this absolutely gorgeous stone !
I cannot wait to see it! You are soooooo talented! Have fun ⛄️♥️
Beautiful 😍 so festive 😍!BRAVO!
Thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️
Absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you!
Thank you! 😊 I'm so happy you liked it. This is one of my Holiday Favs! I make them often. Enjoy :)
It’s absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thank you Jane…. This is definitely a fav of mine ♥️
I love this! The art, the happy graphics and the goofy music! What a way to give up the cares of the world for a few minutes. Thank you!

You’re pretty awesome!!! Whatever gets us to create… is right on ♥️
You are super talented. Question: when using Liquitex flow aid, do you mix per manufacturers direction or do u add straight from the bottle?
Thank you very much… I mix it exactly like directions say. 20:1 20 parts water to 1 part flow aid. Just make sure it’s flow aid additive.
Thank you, distilled or tap water, I want to do correctly on my first try 🤪
@ I just use tap water. 😊
