      @@balconygarden7do you think it's a good idea 💡 for me to start a apartment and balcony garden channel 🤔? I know how to record and have good knowledge in gardening. If so I would create a new channel dedicated to gardening videos. I have big plans for this year 😌 Is it a good idea 💡?💚💚💚

    Thank you for sharing this video! I garden too and I’m trying to research all the things I can grow in containers. This is very helpful. Thanks for teaching me something new. I hope we can learn more from each other as we grow our gardens and our TH-cam channels!

    Thank you, new sub here. I am trying this now in SW Florida. I have to grow in containers due to our soil being sand. I started my first round of seeds in mid September and had 7 germinate. Our pesky critters ate the leaves off 4 of them, they were only about an inch tall. I kept them outside since our temps were in the low 90s and very humid but I didn't have them in direct sun. Would that be why they are so short? I transplanted the other 3 and they really haven't grown any since I transplanted them, about a week ago. Also, will they still be able to grow with the bug cloth over the top, the tunnel poles to keep the cloth off the plants? I grew Early Girl tomatoes from seed in the spring and only had 2 make it. Once they grew a couple of fruit, the critters ate them all the way around!! Only one was partially ripe! Do I need to use the bug cloth on everything? We have a lot of squirrels, geckos, egret birds etc and they can eat something 2 hours after I put the plant outside, in the grow bag. Do you have any ideas for me?

    Just discovered your videos and love them. I'm just starting out with container gardening and planning for next season so these videos are giving me lots of advice without being overwhelming. I'm interested in how you use your watering spikes. I bought some in the hope of creating consistent water for some pots. How often do you use and fill the water bottles, and are they in there throughout the growing cycle?

    • @balconygarden7
      @balconygarden7  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! I mainly use them during hot summer days to keep the plants from drying out. At this time i fill up the bottles daily.

      @@balconygarden7 Thanyou for your reply. I'm going to start experimentig with those spikes as I'm sure I will need them even during our UK summers.

    Thank you for you videos. I am trying to start a garden in the balcony. I noticed you use the recycled bottles for drip irrigation. Where can I find the tip that goes into the soil for such irrigation? Thank you in advance.

    Do you put them in a sunny spot indoors when germinating? Or a dark spot?

    • @balconygarden7
      @balconygarden7  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I put them on a sunny window. For the germination itself it doesn't matter, after you see the first sprout they need as much light as possible

    What is that drip thing you have on a bottle, please?

    • @balconygarden7
      @balconygarden7  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a very simple self watering drip system: amzn.to/3uYyVD3. But it doesn't work reliably.
