Great vibes - the Reason GUI lends itself perfectly to this style of teaching. The orange glow turns Ron's (humble?) studio into a kind of cosy beach hut somewhere on a tropical island (not far from the tourist clubs and bars). Ron ably demonstrates that you DON'T need a PhD to write fantastic music! 🖋
Dear Ryan: Absolutly bring us more of such quality content please. The last few Reason Studios vids seem to finally take the step to show Reason`s strenghts (just some of them, I know) and it`s open ended coolness. This last one? Hey, I infected five poor folks already with this beautiful virus of a DAW and often the learning curve is step to them. But Ron lets see his love for music while being a very good teach and they will not only love this, but try for themselves and learn. Instead of a mere showcasing of functions, this video shows real world applications and invites to play. Thank you very much for those beautiful Combinators btw, Ron! Just downloaded them and they will be my first thing in the morning.
First time I heard about Ron is when he was playing with the new vocoder and some organs creating crazy modulations... I knew it would lead to some more excellent content....
Really appreciate this one! Thanks for taking the time to make this. 2step is definitely tricky, but I've wanted to emulate since first hearing MJ Cole. Shout out to that snare at 0:11:57 inside the ride oh gosh!!! +100 for that root note tip that comes in the chapter after that. I had no clue you could daisy chain root notes via CV. Also, that bass alt spin up at 0:18:00 is truly lovely. I got Orbital vibes.
This is really a fantastic work that you are sharing with us. I would have bought the Combinators and am very grateful for these inspiring tips. Many many thanks 🍀🎵🎶🫂
This video has really opened my eyes to some fun ways of working. Love the idea of working in the rack as much as possible before hitting the sequencer. I tend to work on a sound, bring it to the seq, then repeat as I go.
Thank you for these combinators. My suggestion is that you show us how to find the chord player within the Phased Rhodes. I just spent about an hour and finally found it. Its that little arrow on top! Not obvious to a beginner.
Reason you at-least work on the zoom features in the sequencer. For example let it zoom in to the point where the cursor is on the screen introduce pinch zoom 🙏🏽

Ron does the best Reason content I’ve seen in quite a while!
Much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed
I disagree !! Both Infekt and Ron :-D. Excellent content anyway...

Can't find the combinators. When I click in the link down in the description it redirects to a page with the 404 error.

I'm getting '404 not found' when i click the free combinators link.
We miss Episodes (XX) - Your Reason to stay inside 👍👍👍
This os really great! I have found very little use of note echo, but you showed it to very useful in specific situations. Noice!
I made UK Garbage back in 2008 with Reason 4, that vocals nuts though.
very nice m8
especially appreciated the note echo use; it s the only player i never managed to use correctly

The link to the combinators is broken. Any chance this could be updated cause i really want to play with these sounds!
1/16T iykyk 😉
Any updates comming to panio roll to bring reason up to-date
Where Does MDHT 909 Kong Drum Kit come from?
that's just a regular Kong with a custom skin, maybe next time I will include a drums combinator 👍
