They say you die twice. Once when you leave this earth and the 2nd time is the last time someone says your name. And that is some of the motivation behind people doing as much as possible to be remembered forever whether it is good or bad!
@@sammy2954 legacy? No one’s gonna remember you in 200 years who is your great great great grandfather? Legacy? Where his name? May ALLAH guide you and me look into Islam
Damn I’ve been listening to Biggie since 1996 and this song is still creepy to me cause he actually was eventually killed. Idk if you reacted to it, but his song Suicidal Thoughts is a must, one of my all time favorite Biggie songs
Biggie got that hook from one of his crew. Un Diaz recently talked about it in his Vlad interview. Someone said it, Big liked it, and used it. Just a sad coincidence.
Check out KICK IN THE DOOR by Biggie. Shots at Nas in opening verse as well as some shots in third verse. Also a couple shots at Raekwon and Ghostface from the Wu-Tang and Jeru the Damaja damaga.
You are missing the point. It about people not celebrating you when you are alive till you are gone, examples of that can be related to Nipsey, Xxx and many others. If Nas, Jay z or Eminem would have passed at their prime they would been immortalised, celebrated and discussed differently. If he and Pac where alive they probably would have been like 50 cent or Snoop that were just some good rappers
I thought y’all would both give this a 10, but 9.5 is cool too. You should check out KRS-One “Hip Hop Lives” Produced by Marley Marl so it’s a historic coming together of people on opposite sides of a rap beef. The song is about the philosophy of Hip Hop and the music video is a must, it’s about the history of Hip Hop.
Smh sounds like a reach people forget big album originally was to he released in Oct of 96 it was only pushed back because of pacs untimely death which was a month prior....so therefore these track been recorded while he was live and well.
@@freefireshorts7017nah, according to Lil Cease’ in an interview, Biggie was working on the track ‘Nasty Boy’ when he learned 2Pac died, If You Look at The track listing of ‘Life after death’, you can see he made a few songs after, including Long Kiss goodnight, and You’re nobody (Till someone kills you)
Damn I was 14 years old when this was released time flys and things will never be the same!
I'll keep it short, I was devastated when he passed away.
He passed on my 16th birthday 😢
💯💔🤯 I woke up to hear the news… 1st time and only time I mourned a man I never met!!
I was sad when he passed away
Me to I was in basic training when I heard drill Sargents talking about it damn
Biggie is literally the only rapper who can rhyme the word (Fanny) an it sound gangster Asf
King of New York till this day
Biggie Smalls “I got a story to tell”
b.i.g. - what's beef?
Pray , Long Kiss Goodnight and You're nobody ... are three of the best sequenced tracks on any hip hop album ( especially given context ) .
Track is called My Downfall, not Pray. But yeah, I agree with everything you said. Those 3 to end the album are just something else.
And to hear Nas (who was supposed to be on Long Kiss) tell the story about Big recording it is crazy.

Yea i remeber he predicted it. And the makavali 2pac was just as crazy. I still remeber where i was when hearing the news. Hiphop was at its prime.
My downfall when he said “y’all know who killed em”
