    Use polyestern or flex seal the inflatable is thin for polyestern you hav ego wait 24 hours for it to work

    It's probably heat damaged becuase it's thin

      I ended up throwing it out. I tried to fix it with sealer, but it didn't really work. In retrospect, I wish I'd kept it. I would have built it a support.

    update disregard my old comment nothing works to fix them it's called thinning it's where if you keep them in a hot place like an attic shed or garage they will melt the coating will come off it keep the air in and if it's exposed to heat for years it starts melting away and you can't fix it best option is to throw it out you can tell if an inflatable is thin if it's not standing up correctly and there's a lot of wrinkles all over it don't by Inflatables like that and make sure you're keeping them in a cold place even if you are over time they will die but it's just going to give it more time and they will last longer if you keep them somewhere cold

    You can try a couple of things.. try to install a stronger blower... or you can also but a couple of spray cans of tent sealer.. that would help with the fabric. i would do both!

    • @HappyHaunting
      @HappyHaunting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried Thompson’s water sealer on it but it didn’t work enough. I was going to give it another coat, but I’ve been too lazy.

      You could also try a leaf blower... be it, it's going to be loud!

  • @bostonbillymac
    @bostonbillymac 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The fabric fails from UV sunlight and the air seeps through the fabric over time , you have to seal it with chemicals or put a bigger fan in the inflatable

    • @HappyHaunting
      @HappyHaunting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried a few coats of water seal on it but it did no good. It’s garbage now.

    • @bostonbillymac
      @bostonbillymac 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try to upgrade to a bigger fan, or dual fans if your creative, its worth it for some, sprays are temporary, you need a flexible clear coat thats put on lightly

    How much did you buy it for? And you can fix it with Thompson’s Water Seal

    • @HappyHaunting
      @HappyHaunting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does that make it stiffer?

    • @ProfessionalFishCollector
      @ProfessionalFishCollector 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I used it on a few of my beaten up inflatables and it makes them work like new, you may have to reapply once it wears off, it’s basically clear sealer paint. For your archway, you’ll have to cover it with the paint in the areas where the fabric leaks air. I think the reason why your archway is so weak, is because it got heat damaged by being in a hot place which wore out the fabric. It’s funny because I’m also getting a new archway soon, feel free to see it once I upload it on my channel, hopefully it won’t be like yours with the fabric problem.

    • @ProfessionalFishCollector
      @ProfessionalFishCollector 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TheBestThings oh and also I found the listing of your archway and from the pictures of it inflated it didn’t look that good.

    • @ProfessionalFishCollector

      TheBestThings if you are looking for an alternative archway, this would make a great substitute rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F302766033526 and I think it’s a little cheaper than how much you got your new one for! I just feel bad that it didn’t work out for you, it would’ve been really nice if it fully inflated

    cant you buy a replacement fan or use a fan from another inflatable ? I have had several over the years and Ive sew up holes and also kept the fans of some that got destroyed being in the elements too long ..Mainly the Christmas snowmen . They all seem to get stained after a few years ..but we save the fans .. I have one fan on a pumpkin out side now that went to another inflatable I had ..

    I'm just seeing this and don't know how you resolved it but if it's not a clogged fan it could be a lower wattage adapter. They are interchangeable and the original may have gotten lost by the owner and they used a replacement adapter which can't keep up. That happened to me with a little 4 foot turkey inflate I use at Thanksgiving. As small as it is the head always leaned to one side and never inflated completely. Just for a lark I replaced the cord one year with one of the many many we have a surplus of and low and behold the turkey after YEARS of drooping stands as erect and firm as should have been all along. Hope that helps.

    Darn it! I purchased a similar one with the exact problem and was hoping you found a quick fix. I'm going to purchase a new motor for it now. I don't give up because I love inflatables.

    • @HappyHaunting
      @HappyHaunting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried waterproofer and it didn’t help. If you build a pvc support structure it might help hold it up.

    • @Lukey06
      @Lukey06 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The motor isn't exactly the problem, the issue with the inflatable is that it's neither worn out or melted, a melting inflatable is when the coating used to keep inflatable inflated comes off and will not last the whole season, to fix your inflatable with that problem you have to spray it with flex seal clear

  • @cyberi4a
    @cyberi4a 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @bgholiday9462
    @bgholiday9462 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I had the same problem with one of my halloween inflatables! It basically wouldn’t stand up so I sprayed 3 cans of flex seal clear on the sections of fabric that were transparent because when the fabric become transparent, that means that the fibers of the fabric have become thin, weak, and have seperated. The flex seal clear makes the fabric air tight and virtually remains invisible as long as you spray in thin even coats! Hope this helps!
