I’m convinced world peace can be achieved if we all gave that one friend that won’t put down his bass guitar a job playing a riff every time we get too serious and need to laugh…
People always give Jerry a hard time for breaking, but I honestly think it's commendable to get through as many scenes face to face with absolute stars as he did.
That's one of the funnier aspects of the show, for me. Jerry can't act. It's his show, though. And he's surrounded by outright talented geniuses. It feels like when a non-actor does skits in Saturday Night Live.
One of those moments where Jerry was clearly losing the contest to remain in character, and Michael knew he was winning. The chemistry between those two actors is legendary.
@@coyote.redfire Well yeah, if someone had a sexual preference for children or animals or rape there’s a problem. The episode that went backwards in time showed that Jerry told Kramer that whatever is Jerry's is Kramer's or something to that effect and Kramer looks around into the apartment. Jerry gave him the kingdom and doesn't even remember doing it.
I was thinking the same thing, but I was noticing instead when he touches the woman's arm, signaling discomfort and impacience, in a purposefully condescending way. He was a total comedic genius with his character
Watching this show with my dad as a kid, i never understood why it never failed to give him belly laughs. Having a rough day and this absolutely did the same for me. What an amazing show
George entered that apartment as a completely confident man. He came out of there as an insecure, disturbed, and nervous wreck with a thousand questions in his mind.
Jason Alexander's response to Kramer's comments is pitch-perfect brilliant -- like someone who's just had his bathrobe ripped off and has been exposed to the world. The amazing comedic talent of these actors is what made this series so great.
In my opinion the scene from The Contest where Kramer sees the woman, leaves Jerry's apartment, comes back a minute later, and exclaims, "I'm out!" has it beat.
I remember once I was dating a girl and a friend asked what she looked like and for a joke I said she looked like him, she didn't but then in my head she slowly morphed in to him. Relationship ruined...
I dunno. I've always considered Always Sunny to be a modern, more raunchy version of Seinfeld. And as someone who loves both series, I mean that only as a high-praise compliment.
I would say, 'Well, I think one of us should leave' too if I got a peek at all those boxes of cereals. I mean, seriously, it's like a treasure of untold flavors!
Not even close kiddo.... Kramar at the donut shop drinking coffee while making fun of famous joe damagiio dunkin his donut in coffee and SCREAMING "Yeeep" while pounding on the table.... One of the funniest scenes ever. Still watching Seinfeld in 2023, because people just can’t write worth a damn anymore and the Sein is pure gold, timeless.
You see, by pointing out that George’s new lady friend is similar in appearance to Jerry, Kramer has unintentionally created an awkward situation. It’s really very funny. Play it again, but this time while you’re watching, think about what I’ve said. Let me know in the comments below whether my insight has improved your viewing experience. Here’s my interpretation of how it would end: Kramer: Well, sounds like someone’s having a bad day. Jerry: YEAH! BECAUSE OF YOU! Kramer: Well, then I think one of us should leave (Jerry and Kramer stare at each other) Jerry: Well?!! Kramer: Well what?! Jerry: Well, why aren’t you leaving?!! Kramer: Why should I leave? Jerry: Because it’s my apartment!! Kramer: Well, just because it’s your apartment doesn’t mean that.... Jerry: GET OUT!!!! (Kramer slips and falls)
This scene was probably hard and they likely couldn't have any other better take to replace it. Look how even the fridge at the bottom randomly opens up which would already render a cut from directors in normal circumstances
I love how Kramer can at times be amazingly insightful, while at other times totally oblivious
If it’s a totally inappropriate thing to say, he’ll say it. That’s his character. No filter.
Or both at the same time hahaha
They do this with Charlie’s character on Always Sunny also
patrick star
And simultaneously!
I love how hard Jerry is trying not to laugh all the time
... that was his "acting"
@@leoSaunders acting without acting-and yet it’s all acting

@@professorlabsthat should be inscribed. 👏👏👏
Saw his standup (concert) he did q&a after the show. He said Michael always made him laugh.
I do applaud this show using the bass riff as a means to defuse tension several times an episode
Jeff Blackman the editor of this show was great ... The timing of the bass riff is always just right
I’m convinced world peace can be achieved if we all gave that one friend that won’t put down his bass guitar a job playing a riff every time we get too serious and need to laugh…
Curb your enthusiasm also had their theme cut tension and end episodes was great as well. Both done by Larry David
Really? I thought that was the cue for Jerry to go all Jewish-Fu on Kramer ... "MeLeaveYouLeaveAndTakeYourGlassOfMyMilkAndHalfSandwichWithYou" :D
@@davisconstantine7164by talking in the past you got me afraid that the show was over, they're filming season 12

It certainly can’t be easy opposite cosmo 😂.
I don’t know why anyone would care, it’s not like Seinfeld ever got that serious or anything
I didn’t mind but I’m sure the actors were tight
I loved Jerry’s acting. His comedic high pitch worked just fine for me.
That's one of the funnier aspects of the show, for me. Jerry can't act. It's his show, though. And he's surrounded by outright talented geniuses. It feels like when a non-actor does skits in Saturday Night Live.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Lol and then it's mysteriously closed...
the way kramer blinks when he says you're secretly in love with Jerry 😆😆😆😆😆😆
And when he says "broached"!!!
That long pause where Jerry was just waiting for Kramer to realize he was in his apartment. Hilarious!
The episode that went backwards in time showed that Jerry told Kramer that whatever is Jerry's is Kramer's or something to that effect and Kramer looks around into the apartment. Jerry gave him the kingdom and doesn't even remember doing it.
Jason Alexander's physical comedy is so good. The way his shoulders start to go up and down at 0:30 like he's hyperventilating is the perfect touch
I was thinking the same thing, but I was noticing instead when he touches the woman's arm, signaling discomfort and impacience, in a purposefully condescending way. He was a total comedic genius with his character
And his tongue flicking out like a lizard lol
And the way he exits the room
The fact he didn't win an emmy is criminal. He was the funniest in the cast.
How Jerry held it together for this scene is beyond me.
He's struggling.
I bet many failed attempts where made before the final scene
He was so close to losing it, and Micheal loved driving Jerry to the edge.
😂😂 he held it together after hundreds of takes for sure . Check out the bloopers. Elaine and Jerry are hilarious.

Bathrobe ripped open? Remember to claim shrinkage.
In fairness, he was in the pool.
Jerry trying not to laugh at the end lol
Jerry is using every morsel of willpower to hold a straight face there.
This is the scene i overheard from TV that made me start watching seinfeld

The audacity Jerry had to call Kramer out in his own home.
Never knew that the left refrigerator door was a dutch door.
Kramer the legend
Well, then how should I have broached the subject?

I love it!
Kramer is one of a kind. I don't think any other sitcom has that type of character. Drew Carey show with Lewis (Ryan Stiles) is sort of like it.
i'd also say Dale from King of the Hill is whatever that type is lol... and Charlie from Always Sunny, too.
