    Think of Inductor as a large body of mass which has a huge inertia. When you apply Force, it doesn't move initially. Similarly when it is in motion, when you apply Brakes, it doesn't stop immediately.

      @@RizwanKhan_99 Well Induced voltage is less than the applied voltage and it's not instant, it lags source voltage by 180°.You must have learnt that in transformer we take primary voltage as Vs-Vinduced, that's the reason.

    Hi, there sir, for the lamp to start, the starter has to be closed, yes as you said, when the light is on, current passes through the lamp, yes as you said, when the lamp is completely lit up, current flow through lamp, I agree as you said, what happened next is starter cools down and closes, my question is, due to this action why the lamp won't flickers, please reply.

    Thank you very much for all your great educational videos....i have a question pls : as you said at time=0+ the induced inductor voltage will be nearly infinity , so shouldnt that large induced votage induce large current that would overcome the original current from the battery? , and hence the current will be anti clockwise ?....thank you and looking forward for the answer .

    So we need to close the switch gradually so that di/dt could become low and that gives less back voltage and we don't see any spark.so the question is ,is there any kind of switch available or we need to put capacitor across the switch so that we don't see the spark

    in tube light at turn on time
    first starter opposed current flow & some time delay took place in that movement ends of florocent buld has heated and released some electrons in side tube & bulb glows till here ok but while we turn off the supply why dont we observe sparks in the starter
    sir could you please explain how starter is behaving at t- time and t+ time t is before turn off

    • @rifatchowdhury8043
      @rifatchowdhury8043 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      u r not touching the starter. u only press switch. but starter is making contact on and off why? because they r making contact due to thermal expansion. at first when the bulb is not glowing, all current has to flow through starter. the moment the starter gets enough heated up the gets disconnected and u see spark and the bulb glows. now after the bulb glows the current has another path to flow. so current at starter reduces and starter gets cool down. but this process repeats until the bulb is fully established. but here is a little wrong in the picture shown. it showed the starter ends get disconnected when bulb is established. but starter ends cools down and makes contact. very little current also passes through that as this current is not enough to heat up the starter again. so while switching off when u disconnect power, the inductor created high voltage is absorbed by the still existing path between the bulb ends. so u don't see spark while switching off. hope this helps...

Bcoz H=I2rt joules law of heating. So when terminals are open I=0 means H=0 so no heating would be there then how can u say it is thermal expansion..
