The problem is that some require drivers to be installed, and not every software s supports it until you spoof it as an Xbox controller, whether you'll have to remap buttons.
@@bluesah3269cleaning is good sure but it won’t help with the main cause for stick drift. the analog stick’s potentiometer resistance changing over time / breaking down every time you use it, you can’t stop that. Hall effect joysticks uses magnets and doesn’t actually physically touch so it doesn’t have the same wear and tear and it’s obviously a lot better in that sense. But from what I’ve seen the hall effect sticks doesn’t center as good as the normal ones so I guess if you’re a competitive gamer the regular one would be more precise. Until they get stick drift.

Same here for over 4 years. In fact, never had any controller drift - from N64 to PS5 and every console in-between Whoever invented the marketing buzzword "hall effect" is making a killer, so many chumps are paying more for the same old controller
for me Joycons were free (came with console), comfortable (can hold one in each hand), and I never experienced stock drift 4 years later still to this day
The wired HoriPad for switch is my favorite. It's $20, it's really high quality (it seems like it should be $50), it's also got a swappable dpad. The only issue is that it doesn't have amibo or gyro. But other than that, for $20, it's the perfect controller for a PC/phone (if you have an adapter)
As someone who used to review Switch hardware, this guy is solid. However, it still pales in comparison to the Switch Pro Controller. I know the Pro Controller is the more expensive option, but it is just far superior in every way. Other notable controllers are the 8BitDo Pro 2, which is FANTASTIC, and the PowerA FUSION Pro Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch. The PowerA one is more expensive, but it comes with a lot of extra features, including extra button attachments, detachable faceplates, and a sweet carrying case. Again, though, I cannot stress enough that the Pro Controller is simply the best. It's worth the investment, and it is honestly one of the best controllers in the last 20 years across the board.
@@bonzo1975 You must have gotten a lemon then, because I have had 4 pro controllers for years and have had zero problems. My Splatoon 2 pro controller probably has about 1500 of gaming on it, and it still functions wonderfully. Sorry you got a bad controller. Did you report it?
My pro controller is drifting occasionally. I'm thinking about buying the gulikit or 8bitdo ultimate. Though I think the pro controller is good, would be great without the drifting issue

I have never experienced drift with any of them, and again, I've had the original Pro Controller since Day 1 with no issues (And hundreds and hundreds of hours put into using it). I'm sorry yours is drifting, though. That sucks.

I have two ZEN pros. I gotta say: this controller is pretty good and versatile. Works great for my SWITCH and my Steam Deck - plus it has an XBOX Elite controller feel to it. Customizing button sensitivity and flashing its BIOS are simple if you have a PC (or steam deck).
I actually think that one is pretty good. But the custom galaxy controlles has accessories to rest your fingers. It also has has turban button and led lights if your playing in the dark.
In my country this is called the “GiliKit King Kong Pro” 😂 I don’t know if it’s just for Australia or why they would change it but I prefer the name her because it sounds kinda nuts😁
Tip for those who have a non Switch controller, like an Xbox one. There is an Bluetooth adapter called the 8BitDo Wireless Adapter which emulates the Pro Controller and allows you to use any controllee like if it was Switch compatible.
I have had my Nintendo Switch for 3 years and never had joy-con drift. You might not believe it but it’s surprisingly never happened to me. The only controllers that I have that have stick drift is my old third party N64 controllers and an official Nintendo Wii Nunchuck. Yes joy-cons are uncomfortable and extremely overpriced, but I don’t understand the whole joy-con drift thing because I have never experienced it.

Had the same issue with this "gulikit kingkong 2 pro" hori and power a where the A or B button gets stuck after repeated use and they pop out few seconds later with a noise, I feel ripoff buying these "pro controllers" as they are super expensive as they cost the same as a original pro controllers I own a both a ps4 pro and ps5 and their controllers don't have this issue where they feel cheap, I have dropped them multiple times and they still work fine, I own a official wireless Xbox controller for my PC and it's been the 2 year mark and I'm noticing a slight drift now and then
I would rather have the 8bitdo ultimate since it also has halleffect sticks, but with 2 backbuttons and a charging dock. Not to mention the less imput delay

After the joycons I can't go back to normal controls. I already experienced playing with "position free" controller with Wii Remote + Nunchuck, but now with the Switch I can't go back anymore, playing with my arms in any position is WAY MORE CONFORTABLE than any "ergometric" controller out there

I know he did not make the controller but I did not know that a controller like that was on the market unit I saw the video. Basically, stick drift is when your controller seems to work on its own. If you notice your in-game character keeps looking around by themselves, or if your gun keeps shooting without you ever pressing the trigger. It is a common problem with Nintendo Switch controllers.
ohh i hab that controller too! I bought mine white and fir my bro its black. We use it on Phone, PC and my switch sometimes but mostly on pc. It really nice coz the wires are long too and has a case if u wanna bring it anywhere.
I use the Switchplate personally. I recommend it if your hands aren't super big, but you should know to check the Stick in case it's drifting, but my only two instances of drift were able to be fixed by adjusting the Stick Sensitivity or Recalibrating the Joystick in settings.

You don't need modular design for that compatibility though. Any Pro controller can do that.

I bought the gulikit joycon replacement sticks. Installing them wasn't too bad honestly. And much cheaper than a new controller too :)

Caution. In my experience the dpad gets stuck or stops registering up inputs after 5 or so months of relatively light gaming
