My first Psytrance festival over ten years ago was Pangaea, at the Lazy J Ranch in North Carolina. Stomping my ass off around one a.m., I remember telling my friends that I hoped that Armin, Tiesto (who was still producing trance at the time), Ferry, and PVD were paying attention to the Psytrance scene. From Goa, which started at the same time as early Trance in Berlin, to this. Funny how things come full circle. Of course there will always be purists, but it's good to see the genres merge like this. All trance is psychedelic in my opinion, and it's all uplifting, just depends on the degree.
