The filters would most likely not expire as they have almost a 24 hour service life, of course depending on the contaminant. Also, changing out filters in a contaminated zone will always expose you to a small amount of contaminant within the filter port of traditional 40mm masks as well as the threaded portion of the filter itself. Clearing the mask after filter changes will not clear the contaminant from the filter as well since the inlet valve will prevent that. I just wanted to point out this common misconception regarding filter changes (which will always be a last resort as most CBRN filters will last good amount of time, in which case one should leave the area as quickly as possible. After all, you’re not supposed to camp out in the contaminated area and wait for your filter to expire, which again would take hours on end). Also, the mask is supposed to face outward with the front of the mask facing the front of the carrier (you put the mask in backwards).
thank you! I knew this was the way but had no idea how to get it on lol
Thank you! I have a m40 bag and its the same method. Been wondering how you wear it for agers!!
Jesus i’ve been doing it wrong the whole time
I always thought the leg strap was too loose
Me too
Filters also have chromium which causes cancer
Would have to wear it for 17 months for that to happen
Thank you very much friend it was a very useful tutorial video
Bought a 2pk new unissued. It rides below the waist compared to the Blackhawk which rides on the thigh.
