I saw Evan in Barcelona first time live..he was the only person who got me excited..the effort he put in created a collective energy and reminded all the guys skating there that we are all there to have fun..amazing guy with a great energy..he is the man...
I'm sorry, but i feel mistake somewhere... If you are a good investigator - like sherlock h. - you'll feel c a r e. Sorry for that darkslide:P PS: I adore skateboarding:*
rewatched the video after seeing his nineclub interview. wanted to comment that it is the best video ever. guess what? scrolling through the comment section, i read a comment like this and saw it was my own :D evan is so rad!!!
Evan Smith is the most styled skater out there. He is unique in the way he skates. I roomed with him for a week at woodward when he was 16, I think I was 12 or so, and he taught me how to gamble playing c-lo. I'm 20 years old now, but it left a lasting impression on me. I used to watch this part every day. I film skateboarding now and am aspiring to make films, as well. If you've got any extra time after this, which is the best video part I've seen ever, have a look at mine.
@OstoneAccount because rob dyrdek was the shit in the 90s, one of the best street skaters at the time, he still brings mad money for dc today so hes still on the team, despite lacking the skills compared to skaters now.
I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but I think you mean it. Thanks! He was a really genuine dude and I really enjoyed watching him skate at Woodward. I'd get stoked whenever I wondered into the same park as him. I remember him 3 flipping this one gap over and over and over again so flawlessly. The guy works hard.
dude its soooo refreshing. i get you, but man, hes not the same old fitted hat wearing clone you see usually in dc videos. im stoked on this guys steez.
this dude's a complete BOSS. dude turned down an offer to go pro and put together his future nature and cinematographic parts. i cannot wait to see him pro
Only Evan Smith can go big, do technical tricks, and have soooo much style at the same time. I know Evan and he skates at my local park all the time but even if he didn't i still think he's one of the best skaters ever.
@lossanjaliss21 the spots in sacramento, ca. i forgot where it is but it used to be on a bridge that wasnt inuse. they re-did a few years back but i havent been there since so im not sure if you can still skate it
@ozzku1 it's shaky because they upped the frame frate to 60 frames per second to match the HD footage and the vx footage is 30 frames...so it comes off looking a little shaky when edited in a HD timeline. The filming is fine, but that's why it looks "shaky" in this.
I remember when I was 12 and first seen this video thought he was one the few guys that had one of those unique styles and is one of my few favorites. Only have have two favorite skaters and that's Marc Johnson, Evan Smith, and Albert Nyberg. Too bad I Bmx now...:(
This video(Skateboarding is Forever) has to be a record for most tennessee spots in a professional skate video. In fact, I've seen over 10 spots from tennessee alone, two already from my own city.
Robs been pro for years and years and a big part of DC, know what you mean tho, bit like Lakai pros arent as good as a lot of younger guys - takes a while in skating to make your name, but to make up for it you kind of stay pro longer/when really the new guys have overtaken you so it all evens out in the end

+ever Innit!

He was so ahead of his time!! So much so that the fisheye clips are the only things giving away how old this footage already is.

i skated with Evan a couple weeks ago, at an element contest. he's such a rad dude. hand planted an 11 ft. quarter!!
Only Evan Smith can go big, do technical tricks, and have soooo much style at the same time. I know Evan and he skates at my local park all the time but even if he didn't i still think he's one of the best skaters ever.
this guy is great to watch, a breath of fresh air. so many robotic boring skaters these days doing the same shit.
How is he not pro? this with last years cinematographer part were beyond epic. Evan Smith Pro 2013!
Brilliant and continues to rule. Very cohesive solid part.
the front wallride over the door is savage
@lossanjaliss21 the spots in sacramento, ca. i forgot where it is but it used to be on a bridge that wasnt inuse. they re-did a few years back but i havent been there since so im not sure if you can still skate it
