I'm of European and also mixed with African And Pueblo lndian , but l have alway's had a love for all of Africa and their music and people, this music is my medicine when l'm stressed or depressed l turn to this kind of music and it nurses me back to spiritual joy , African Music is my healing medicine music, that's how much l love it, l like it better than my Rock'n Roll, l believe Africa is the Orgin to what we listen to here in the USA.
musica africana maravilhosa, de raiz e que amplia os sentidos e a reflexão; gratidão imensa à todos que participaram desta linda produção. Diógenes, de São Paulo, Brasil. Axé!
I agree and this song just make's me feel like a different person, l love it like all of African music and Africa, make's me a happy humble person, his music and voice is so emaculent, he's a Fantastic Artist, African Music is my Medicine, when l feel stress and hatred l play this kind of music and it just bring's me the spiritual joy, l agree with what you said, God be with you.
I REALLY LOVE HIS SONGS....SO AUTHENTIC AND BRILLIANT...THOUGH I CANT UNDERSTAND THE LYRICS....I STILL LIKE HIS SONGS...KUDOS HABIB KOITE...from Philippines
Farout song, just heard this and already l'm feeling the vibe, Habib is a Fantastic artist, and like l said , l have alway's had a love for this kind of music , a such beautiful people of a adopted land that continues to grow with such interesting and wonderful music, Africa Rules with music and l'm primarily a Rocker, but alot of diversity and l love it.

For those who want to know the meaning of the song: What he's basically singing is that children nowadays are spoilt rotten! That the respect for our elders are practically nonexistent. Very ironic song, don't you think?
That’s not what is saying actually. You are translating this song the wrong way. His saying are kids are kings. Parents will do whatever they kids want, they spoil them . It’s in a good way! Not rotten. Nothing about disrespecting elders here. The song is just about love that parents have for their kids. His gives some examples about the parents giving some changes to kids before down to buy some treats,( we all had that), they buy new outfits for holidays. It’s all in a good way nothing about disrespecting anyone.
@@horizonafrica3258 Fascinating, I've been trying to find the lyrics and a line-by-line translation, as the music video is very intriguing. It seems to me that your interpretation fits the visual. For instance, the overall mood is celebratory, not reprimanding, and I know from other songs from West Africa that they can be very moralistic, I just didn't get that impression here. In fact it reminds me of some research done with nomadic tribes, showing how parents often did little of what we call 'parenting' because there is a conflict of interest when their main drive is to love and cherish their children, and in that space the older children and aunties and uncles do most of the work of child-rearing. In sedentary populations like the one shown, the roles shift, but I think some of the same older patterns survive more than they do in the deeply disconnected industrial societies.
