@AlphaMitts sony mini dv with wide angle lens. now I have a contour hd and like it a bunch. It does catch snow and covers the screen ever once in a while. the gopro's lens bubbles out so it sheds the powder better. but contour mounts more flush, plus the lasers to aim.
@turbozonda yep you climb up, but you start from the top of the pass and hike a lot less vertical than you get to ride. then you hitch-hike back up or take turns driving. there is a bunch of great backcountry off the passes. Where this video took place used to have lifts, they closed and tore out all the lifts and base houses. It was old and a little outdated, also there are the big resorts close by. i think it had at least a couple old school two person chairs when it was running.
wow, your dog is athletic ^^ Nice run, I would have love to see more snow during the second minute... but I guess you were more thinking about enjoying the ride. But how did you get to the top of the mountain??? by foot? or car? or snowmobile? or velociraptor???
@shredthesn0w Does Tyrrel Basin still have the halfpipe competition on the fourth of July? they used to burry the pipe with tarps and hay, then uncover it in the summer for a jam.
@OhYull Roy-Li (in an exaggerated Aussie accent) is really cool. Reilly is really his name...he is really my friends dog. I have a German shorthaired pointer now named emma. I don't know why I didn't get a dog sooner. I love her! pretty much makes everything more fun. dog truck girl and I would be set.
I love how Riley runs in the tracks you make with your board, cheeky dog stealing your grooves.
Reilly, a great dog! ads a level of fun doing activities with your buddies, dogs included!

Being an east coast rider, this looks like a trail a 5 year old drew out plans for instead of glades.

Check out Reilly the dog coming down Mt Democrat about 13 min in on this video "iDropRocks! Winter '09 Snowboard 2 of 3"
Hiked off the top of a pass, then rode down to a lower spot on the road. velociraptors can't be trusted.
jealousy is a bitch loser
