As a senior with no transportation the Walmart delivery helps me a lot...about a year ago they were running a special for 1 year delivery for $49/year if you were on SS or any government assistance, so I took advantage. On the substitutions, I always say "No substitutions" bc since Walmart changed their policy if they substitute an item & it's a higher price that's what you pay...being on a very tight budget I rather not get it than to pay extra. What I do is if it's not an item I need right away, I just wait a few days & make another order since I'm not paying for delivery fee. Love your videos!
Same here. Home delivery is a blessing, and saves my daughter from picking up and delivering (which most likely would cost more than the $49 a year special) Deliveries are pretty seamless, on occasion I'll have cracked eggs that whoever did the shopping didn't see since they're on the bottom of the carton). I absolutely hate going into WM! I rarely buy anything name brand, but the Tyson deal was too good to resist so I got nuggets -- two 2 lb. bags for actual cost of $6 something. I am on a very strict food budget so I agree with the no substitutions since what they pick is just about always a name brand at a higher price. BTW, you got my celery that my store was out of...
I'm not a senior but I am disabled and I also do the Walmart +. It's great and has a lot of extras. I love the free delivery and that Walmart + is half price for people with food stamps, also when you use them they don't ask for a tip (I always give cash at the door. The only bad experience I had is a really old man who could barely walk was my delivery man that day and I had ordered a case of water. I felt so horrible for him, all I could do is stand there as lifting is one of my restrictions. Finally a neighbor came and put the water on the porch. I just want to Thank You for your comment because I did not know about the exchanges being a higher priced item.
I love how kind you are to each other. It’s a reminder to all of us who are married to not forget to stay sweet to our spouse. My husband and I are in the midst of raising young children and the world is so stressful right now. I’m leaning on the Lord to help us navigate.

👋 kids, Holy moly. I go to Walmart 1x a month. I'd faint if it was that high BUT I buy meats at Ingles 1x a month so it works out to same. I buy all dairy local weekly. On average NOW is about 420.00 a month for 2 people and occasional guests. We, too, are social security folks. Great haul and I'm glad you let Walmart do the work ! 🤗 🤗
We also did Walmart grocery pickup today. I am so thankful for grocery pickup. We only have 2 grocery stores in our town, Walmart & Safeway and they are very crowded no matter what day of the week. Grocery pickup is so much easier. Yes I agree the Walmart coupons are great savings. I save the Walmart cash for our twice a year family get togethers. Our grown children & their families come to our house for the weekend twice a year. Groceries for 6 meals, 15 people can get pricey so the Walmart cash is used at those times.
Thank you for sharing the information about Walmart Digital Rebate Program. I order for the four adults in my household (groceries, cleaning supplies, paper goods and personal items) every 10 days or so for delivery. I have never taken the time to read about the money saving offers, but will certainly do so on my next order! I love your videos for the great content and the kindness you show to each other and your viewers. God Bless.
Nice haul! I like doing grocery pickup. I save money by not making impulse purchases inside the store - those end cap sale items are always so tempting. It's always worked very well for me.
Totally agree. Things just jump into my cart when I go inside! I have been off sweets for some time now but in the past the bakery markdowns was first part store I would head to AND I AM A WIDOW. I would even buy full sheet cakes just for me 😢
Good evening Calvin and Marie. I love the convenience of Walmart grocery pickup. It’s actually a blessing for handicap people like myself. Thank you for sharing your grocery haul with us, God bless you both.
When my husband and I started our home, we made it a habit to do our shopping once every 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 week stretch. I pulled anything I had in my cabinets, that I thought I could spare. And stuck it back to start a pantry. And I kept doing this over and over. It did not take long and I had quite a bit stuck back. And anything I caught on a good sale. Even if it was just hot dogs. That pantry I built up. With my canning garden vegetables and freezer items. Saved us through many life events. Saved us through all the shortages of COVID. And have been working to increase it through the coming unknown events of our election and possibly a depression. Hopefully we will pass through these days fairly comfortable as well.
Greetings from North Carolina I too utilize Walmarts home delivery. I’ve been using it for little over a year. It saves me so much time and energy. That way I’m able to make a trip to pickup hat wasn’t available from another store. As soon as my order is made, I begin another list. That way I can always add what I need as I find it.
Good morning Calvin and Marie, I'm doing the same today . It does help a lot I work midnight at the hospital and when I'm off in the morning I don't feel like going in to the store.....so nice to see the both of you, sending prayers and sunshine 🌞 your way ❤
Hi, i recently discovered your channel. Like within the last month. I like how calming it is. It is good that you can afford your groceries. I too have sleep apnea. Oh, my name is Diane and i am 63. I am a one hundred percent disabled veteran. I am fortunate that the VA finally increased my disability rating after decades of not doing so. But, progress is slow when it comes to the VA. I enjoy watching your hauls. I have done the Walmart pick-up before. It is very convenient. Thank you for sharing.
Welcome to our channel Diane. Thank you for your service to our country. We're glad that you are enjoying our channel. Have a Blessed weekend, Calvin and Marie
It costs so much to live now and if you are on SS it takes every single bit of it. It is really hard being a senior and just having SS to live on. It has been so hot so we have to run our AC just to survive, another added expense. I shop at food lion and they have monthly extras if you buy so much in like the dairy department or others. They had my canned green beans on sale this week 5 for 5.00 so that is a good buy, and I went in and bought about 21.00 worth of stuff and then the total bill was 12.00 after the monthly coupons, so that sure made me happy. The regular price on my green beans is 1.89 or more a can, so I really did pretty good on my canned green beans this month. You really have to save every way you can. I noticed can peaches were more at Walmart than at Food Lion, they had them on sale buy 2 for 4.00 so I bought them at food lion and made the peach coobler you gave your recipe for, I halved it so I would not eat the entire recipe. I will be glad when the freestone peaches start coming in. I love fresh peaches, see yall in the morning for Sunday Chat, Tomorrow is my special 6.99 fried chicken day at Harris Teeter. LOL, I can not buy a chicken and fry it for that, only if I buy 2 chicken breasts, it is more than that.
One of my coworkers got me started on the grocery haul from Walmart about 3 years ago and I continue to buy this way. What I like about it is as you said it keeps you from spending 2 hours in the store, there is no impulsive shopping and while I put my order together I can watch/control how much I spend. I couldn't tell you the last time I was in Walmart grocery shopping. I will keep a lookout for the coupons. Thanks for sharing.
Walmart is affordable compared to other grocery store available. Savings of 30-50 cents an item. That can add up. There is an Aldi’s that is under construction near me and look forward to checking it out when it opens. Walmart is 3-4 miles from where we live. Aldi’s will be closer.
You’re set for the month!! It is a big job, even just putting it away!! Btw- what’s your favorite season of the year? I you enjoy fall? I can’t wait for cooler weather, myself!❤
That was just great, Marie you did a super job describing that huge haul. That could have been our grocery haul, so many alike items. We like very much being on a system for keeping on top of purchases, otherwise it creates uncertainty. Love watching, Deb
Hi Marie and Calvin...That was quite a haul...You would be tired after putting all that away...Walmart is a great place to order and pick up...I try and shop every Friday...I didn't need much this week so I didn't...I decided to just eat up what we have in the freezer and pantry...I did some baking this week and stuff is lasting...Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless you both🙏🙏🙏
Nice haul! I don't do pick up, but make my lists online including prices and aisle so I know ahead what I'm spending. Am fortunate that our Aldi is on the way home. I usually like their produce and meat better than Walmart. Like Marie, when I think of those who don't have enough, I don't complain about price or the work involved. The roll of fat around my waist tells me I have plenty 😂 and I'm very blessed. Thanks for sharing your haul❤
Dear Calvin and Marie This was a great informative video. My husband and I use many of the same items you displayed . I have been asking my family members on social security what they spent a week / month on groceries. I was telling them we spent more and get less. We go to the local store monthly and pick up little odds and ends at Walmart.I know there are cheaper stores but they are further away from home. I still walk around the store but with my cerebral palsy and arthritis it is tiring.
Good day Calvin and Marie. We got our monthly groceries etc today as well. We only pick up bread, milk and fresh produce weekly or bimonthly. We use one tank of gas per month. Yes, one tank. Love your videos. They have been so helpful.
I remember that tyson sale I bought a few different types of tyson chicken and it added up to over $30 in coupons and my son loved the different kinds of chicken....😊😊😊😊
I'm also on Medicare/Medicaid.. it's just me and i struggle with groceries. Some of those months have 5+ weeks in them. Would enjoy more videos like this. Take care
Good afternoon Calvin and Marie. Quite a haul. We just try & bring groceries in once a week. We still go in store & shop ourselves, old school. A large haul would be too much for us physically, we have 13 steps to bring it in from garage, some stays on that level in pantry. Most has to come up to the first level, at 78&85 it's a chore. Thanks for all you do. Take care . See you Sunday. Sending 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
@@conniemccollam2605 Stair lifts would be a great option. A friend of ours ended up selling their house and buying a smaller one story house because he couldn't do the steps any longer.
Hello Calvin and Marie. We went to Walmart today, but we go in and shop. I like to pick my items out. We do have to rest when we get home. Enjoyed watching your haul. Thanks for sharing. Love the song! Take care. Mrs Lonnie
Good evening Calvin and Marie 👋👋👍😎👍🥰♥️♥️♥️. Hope you are well and staying cool. Enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing and giving me some ideas to stock up on. 😁
We do our shopping half and half. We live with my sister and she does half the groceries with a walmart store pick up. I do the rest in person because I like to pick out produce and meat in person. I spend $400 a week We live with my developmentally disabled nephew and he eats very large amounts of food pluss we go through at least 18 paper towels and 2 or 3 4pk klenex's
One week It would be interesting to see what you eat that week. That would probably be a little challenging to put together. I know my young daughter and enjoy watching y'all and would appreciate it. 🧡
I also love shopping at Walmart as well & the curbside pickup so convenient if you don’t have time or can’t go into store. I have young adults & one teen. My eldest is moderate to severe autistic so sometimes he doesn’t wanna behave in the stores probably crabby sometimes not enough rest or overstimulating when it’s crowded. It can be for me as well when there’s lots of people. Aldis is somewhat cheaper but i understand it may be convenient for you to go to Walmart instead.
Hello Marie & Calvin,I have never done the grocery pick up.My daughters do however.I have used the delivery when I am not feeling well.Wishing you both a wonderful week end.❤️
Hi I'm new to your channel here. I'm Maria and I'm in NY on social security myself😊 I enjoy your shopping vlogs ...I do alot of online shopping myself. 😊❤
We are about 20 to 30 minutes to town so shopping can be a bit of a production. We like the pick up at Walmart but for us Aldi is cheaper. However it’s less convenient and you fight crowds and availability. We do have an advantage that being where we are there are farm stands selling milk, bacon, beef, and pork. It costs more but they are our neighbors so we do it. Eventually we may not be able to as things keep going up in price. Your approach to shopping and budgeting seems very wise.
That is fantastic. Does the farm stands sell buttermilk. When I was young we would get fresh churned buttermilk from a small farm and it was the best buttermilk ever.
@@SouthernCountryLiving it does not sell buttermilk but it does sell cream and half and half. My wife eventually wants to make butter with the cream. Buttermilk is really good and healthy has good gut bacteria 🦠 in it. I suppose if she made butter then we would have buttermilk as a result which would be nice.
Hey I don’t know where y’all are from but just live your accent. Reminds me of my family in Tn ❤ As a person also on disability I know how it is to be on a budget. I like also shopping at dollar general idk if you have that near where you stay or not? But great deals with digitals & take advantage of $5 off $25 Saturdays. They have that every Saturday. Can get your household stuff there if it’s convenient for you to do so.
Thanks for the tip. We used to shop Dollar General but our store stays so disorganized and cluttered thar we just quit going there. We are in N.W. Georgia

Groceries are getting so expensive, especially if you guys are on a fixed income. I sure enjoy watching your cooking videos. Much love to you both from Wisconsin ❤
I miss shopping at Walmart....I'm unable and having home groceries delivered from Walmart is a big blessing to me!!! I put in very large orders and they are accurate and on time. Walmart is great store! Sam's Club too!!
I invested in a wagon and it really helps. My heart rate gets high if I have to do several trips in and out with groceries it exhausts me. I bought a bigger wagon that actually has a dump feature that way when storms come thru and I have a lot of limbs I can just pull it around and then dump it.
Kroger & Walmart are my main 2 stores for shopping. I get the best deals at Kroger. The Tyson Southern Style Chicken Tenders are outstanding. I discovered them through John & Mama on Facebook & think they are on You Tube also who highly recommended. I know he said to only get "Southern Style." He was so correct they are my favorite. Make delicious sandwiches, or cut up for salads etc. Glad you got a great deal on them. I love Shopping Hauls.
I just compared prices at Kroger’s with Walmart. I thought Kroger was to be cheaper but gosh it was much higher than Walmart. An ALDI is located abt 50 miles away. We go there when we have to go into the Dr. We do some shopping at Dollar General for a few item. That is a great savings on the Chicken strips. We have a picky dog… gosh is dog food high. U guys are just the best and most relaxing to watch. Thank you. Stay cool! It is very hot in Southwest Iowa!😊
I just love the two of you! Good, honest, down to earth people.
Thanks very much

Good afternoon Calvin and Marie. Quite a haul. We just try & bring groceries in once a week. We still go in store & shop ourselves, old school. A large haul would be too much for us physically, we have 13 steps to bring it in from garage, some stays on that level in pantry. Most has to come up to the first level, at 78&85 it's a chore. Thanks for all you do. Take care . See you Sunday. Sending 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
Oh wow Connie. Steps are hard for us to deal with especially Marie.
@@SouthernCountryLiving We are considering putting stair lifts in. We have two sets of 13 steps each . Bedroom level too.
@@conniemccollam2605 Stair lifts would be a great option. A friend of ours ended up selling their house and buying a smaller one story house because he couldn't do the steps any longer.
You’re blessed to have each other.
Thanks very much
I love when you do the shopping hauls. Take care and stay safe.
Glad you like them! Thanks very much
Hello Calvin and Marie. We went to Walmart today, but we go in and shop. I like to pick my items out. We do have to rest when we get home. Enjoyed watching your haul. Thanks for sharing. Love the song! Take care. Mrs Lonnie
We love to go in and shop but we really get tired now when we go inside.
Thanks very much Mrs Lonnie

Good evening Cheryl. We pray that you are feeling better.
Have a Blessed weekend,
Calvin and Marie
Y'all are so cute !
Thanks very much
We do our shopping half and half.
That is a great way to share the shopping
Loved the review of your haul for this month. I’ll have to try using the online ordering thru Walmart.
Thanks very much
love the pick up service also
Thanks very much
Looks like a great monthly haul. It's a lot today but I know that it will make the weekly shopping so much easier!
Oh yes, the weekly is just for the food items that we have to have.
I just love watching you both 🙏🏻☺️
Thanks very much
That was a good grocery haul. Thanks Ms Marie and Mr Calvin.
You are so welcome

Hello Calvin and Marie ☺️😊
Thank you so much for sharing this 😊👍❤️ and God bless you and your family and have a blessed day 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks very much Leynett
My husband and I have been saying we need to the pick/up service. Thanks for showing the simplicity of it...Mrs.Steve
Our pleasure! We've been doing the grocery pickup since the year before Covid hit. It was especially nice during that time.
Love watching your videos. Good health to you both.❤
Thanks very much
Hello Marie & Calvin,I have never done the grocery pick up.My daughters do however.I have used the delivery when I am not feeling well.Wishing you both a wonderful week end.❤️
Hello Linda. We are starting to talk about doing the grocery delivery In the future.
Thanks very much
I didn’t know they had digital coupons!!!
Thanks for the info!!!
You're welcome!!
I like to zest my lemons right away, & put the zest in a container & freeze it. I just used some in some cookies I made earlier.
Great idea
Great haul and the cost wasn't too bad considering all you got. See you all on the next one.😎
Thanks very much
He seems like a sweet husband.
Thanks very much
Pick up is a life saver!!!
Yes it is. Thanks very much

God Bless y'all I Love watching y'all ❤ Joann in Virginia ❤️
Thanks very much Joann
Love doing grocery pickup...I spend way less money than I do walking around in the store. Great haul.
That is true for us also Colleen.
Thanks very much
Yes I got that too yeah you get one bag free
That is awesome. I'm glad that you got the deal also.
Marie, I was wondering what you used on you skin because it's so creamy looking Great haul, thanks for sharing. Joan in Fl.
You are so welcome! Thanks very much Joan
Great channel!!
Thank you very much!
Georgia
Great video Thanku .im just catching up on your videos.I wonder have u 1 about making homemade lemonade. Its sounds good.❤
Not yet! Thanks very much 😀

Thanks very much 😀
Groceries are getting so expensive, especially if you guys are on a fixed income. I sure enjoy watching your cooking videos. Much love to you both from Wisconsin ❤
Yes they are. Thanks very much
I miss shopping at Walmart....I'm unable and having home groceries delivered from Walmart is a big blessing to me!!!
I put in very large orders and they are accurate and on time. Walmart is great store! Sam's Club too!!
That is awesome! Thanks very much Candace
I invested in a wagon and it really helps. My heart rate gets high if I have to do several trips in and out with groceries it exhausts me. I bought a bigger wagon that actually has a dump feature that way when storms come thru and I have a lot of limbs I can just pull it around and then dump it.
Great idea. Thanks very much
Marie, you look very nice today!
Thanks very much
Kroger & Walmart are my main 2 stores for shopping.
Thanks very much Terri
Great Walmart grocery store haul ❤❤❤👍👍👍😊😊😊
Thanks very much
I just compared prices at Kroger’s with Walmart.
Yes, that is right about Kroger. The heat has really been bad this year.
Have a Blessed weekend
Great Haul good job!👍❤️
Thanks very much Melissa
I like to do grocery pickup in the winter so I can just go in the car and be done.
Yes, that is nice. Also when it is raining and we don't have to get out.
Great Video , Thank you!!!Calvin and Marie, Take Care!!
Thanks, you too!
