It depends on the concert and how fucked up he is. A buddy of mine from back in the day was a radio DJ and told Johnny was hammered before going out on stage. To be fair, it was an off season, holiday concert, so I don't think they were 100%. And they didn't perform Big Machine which bummed me out, because it's such a good opener.
I wasn't planning to upload all the songs, but since I have been getting requests to upload certain songs, I will cut and upload all songs from the concert soon.
@netisforporn666 Let me just add one more thing. This isn't done because Johny can't do a set at normal range. It's because when you're on tour you're doing this night after night, sometimes only a day between breaks, and after a long time it wears on your vocals. So bands will often play their music live at a lower tuning than on the album in order to lower the stress levels the vocalist must endure.
Awesome performance! He cant hit the high notes as good anymore but still sounds amazing. What do you think Johnny is motioning to at 2:14 ? Looks like he wants his vocals turned up or something??
A lot of online lyrics have it wrong. He’s pretty clearly singing “I’m blind and waitin’ for you” both parts of the chorus, no “I’m lying…” And he’s pretty clearly saying “you’re all I’m not…”. Not “you're all or not..”
@embraceforever21 No. The entire song here is played at least a half-step down. Since the patented screech-y power that Jonny is known for is something that the human vocal only allows easily at certain ranges for a singer, what you're hearing that sounds so badly is just him singing at a range that doesn't express the best things about his vocal style. However, it IS easier to sing lower physically. That's why bands do this sort of thing for live shows. It lessens the vocal stress.
Jhonny's voice in this concert was painful, no power, tired, hoarse, his voice is still beautiful but he lost a lot of his range due to his lack of care for his voice.
Lol, no. Johnny Rzeznik has never lip-synced in his entire life. They're real musicians, he sings live EVERY time.
nice explanation man.....johnny is still a beast!!!! he still sounds way better than most artists live in this performance. true talent right there

Was at he show, and it is definitely not lip synched. Also, the crowd was singing louder than band. LOL
Not a single dislike. It's the Goo Goo fucking Dolls, what do you expect?

woah! he's using a gibson instead of his half-caster this time on Big Machine! something new :P
Goo Goo Dolls je vous aime !!
Moi aussi 🥰
this is a big band machine in the world!
@bojanglesme its not lip sync....you can tell his voice is straining at parts and it doesnt sound exactly like the actual song. its sounds good though
hahahhaa john is freakin amazing.

Yea it must be a delay. If it was a tape it would sound better. Plus at the start of the song you can hear him coming up to the mic a second late.
6 feet is his celebrity height if you know what I mean
Love unrequited love songs lol. Nice change from drug songs they normally play.
I just thought it was set lower to avoid copyright technicalities. Isn't that what they do to videos sometimes?
❣
just check out his "live in alaska" video
you understand he is 6 feet lol
What a tall dude 😳 thank you for telling about John's height
I did saw their live performance of this song (Live in Alaska)
He isn’t, I’m 6 feet and much taller than him
@@jakestein32 Maybe you are right afterall
1-12-2023!
no way I stood up beside him and have the photos to prove it 5'10/.5
damn, never once that his chewingum falls :D
Great song n I love how Johnny looks like a middle aged woman in a power suit
it's funny cause you can hear his voice perfectly for the first word yet it doesn't look like he got to the mic yet
@bojanglesme There's the delay/echo on his John's vox....
Hi u you u1uí,iiiZ7ty83667%+%%%
GGDs should have been much bigger.

in real life he likey screwed up, they likely edited something in for the dvd, they can do things like that in post production
@mattbeermusic i noticed that too, maybe he just shouted at the mic or the back up vocalist filled in :/
I am very 5'8 the top of my head was over his eyes, this was in a 2006 meet and greet
do you have the vids of cuz your gone and slave girl?
they were in the 90's
no way he's 5 10. tops I stood right beside Im and Im 5'8
he is about 6 ft
He is really 6 ft tall
I've never seen him before lol
I just google his height and watch his live video to guess
you are right
no that's was the back up guys voice ahead of john. John missed his cue
Life end
no way is he 6ft
He is 183 cm
i dont think he is short....
It's not short because John Rzeznik stands at 1.83 meters which is equivalent to 6 ft
Dude needs to get back to playing Strats
Live pozen
maybe you are not just 5'8 lol
@robcostido after watching it again....it's just plain bad editiing!
lol at start hes like shit wheres the mic!
Jhonny's voice in this concert was painful, no power, tired, hoarse, his voice is still beautiful but he lost a lot of his range due to his lack of care for his voice.
aw, wish he would have played it with that four string strat..not this gibson lol
he was trying to match it with his suite that's why
how does he started to sing even before reach the mic? lool 0:20
Yes and no
Song and performance: awesome. Jonny's suit: not awesome.
He clearly missed the first few words of the opening song, Yet it was loud as ever, Wonder if this concert was lip synched?
Red Rocks was not a great concert for them
Sorry guys. I don't want to believe it either, but 2:32 lip synch
