- This is my 501st video!! That's a lot of editing hours!! Thanks to my patient for sharing his procedure! It was great talking with him and he traveled far to see me, I’m glad we were able to help him. This is something I see often in Southern California due to the amount of sunshine we get every year. Favre Racouchot goes by many names - solar comedones, senile comedones, nodular elastosis. People with history of smoking and moderate to severe sun exposure are at risk for thickening of the skin, which can make it easier for pores to become occluded and form comedones (blackheads and whiteheads). No matter how the comedones form, from smoking, solar damage, or puberty, they all come out the same way with common extraction methods!!

Like pulling weeds in a garden. That is such a refreshing way of describing it. Back in my acne days they had us teens convinced it was federal law never to squeeze a pimple or blackhead. I used to do it, though, by opening the pore with a sewing needle and squeezing. The only time I ever got a scar was when I followed orders and let a bad pimple run its natural course. It turned into a deep cyst, and I have an 'ice pick' scar to this day. Fortunately it's on my upper arm and not my face.
Where did they make that a federal law? I would've been a felon with all my squeezing of myself and others. 🤣🤣
Some do go out on their own (we call them 'sweat pimples', not sure how to translate it - they're small buildup of fluid and stay flesh-colored, have no tip and usually don't hurt, maybe itch a little).
Anything that: actively hurts, has stayed after 2+ days (and showers/baths) or has a prominent point/white puss should be done with.
The 'don't touch them' advice is only given by people who never has a pimple father puss right under a bra-strap. >

Greg is a total gentleman. It seems to be very natural to be caring and polite to his clients and his staff. I like that he thanked his assistant and complimented her. He appreciates other and says so.
My husband suffered from this for years until at 30 he quit smoking. Within just a few months he had no more blackheads or whiteheads around his eyes. In addition, his blackheads on his back cleared up. I know it’s hard to stop but it is another reason to stop smoking if you suffer skin problems and smoke.

Ive seen "famous" doctors using metal extractors on this condition and making a real mess, damaging and bruising the skin. This method is much better in my opinion ❤
I have to agree wholeheartedly. I have not watched that other Dr. for a while for that very reason. Brutal.

Just goes to show, paying mega bucks for a very simple procedure, that most people could do themselves, without harming the skin, isn’t always the best.
That made a huge difference in this man’s skin. And without leaving any fingernail gouges in his face. Great job, Mr. Popzit!
Steam the face first, or put a hot cloth on the face to open up the pores then there should be no gouge marks at all!
I really appreciate the way you prepare the patient's skin before removing the comedones. Especially in cases like his when they're in clusters and require repeated pressure over the same small area. I've seen videos where the patient was left looking like they'd been hit hard with a blunt instrument.
If I had any of these problems, this is the Doctor. I would definitely go to. He is definitely my favorite.
I could watch you do this for literally hours 🥰 If only I knew back in day that I would love to be a zit popper, I would have followed that career path. Sadly in my 50’s it’s too late. Greg I really appreciate your professionalism when dealing with these patients with severe acne, and other skin conditions. When I go to have a treatment, I want the doctor to focus on me! Some doctors talk to their staff over my body, like they're working under the hood of a car! LOL! I've even had dental appointments that were the same way. They're all having a lot of fun, except for me, the nervous patient on the reclining chair! I enjoy the soothing way you speak to your clients, and you let them know what you're going to do, without going into too much detail. Your assistant is busy doing her thing, and you keep things pretty professional all the time. And of course, your work is wonderful!

Love this method. It’s so much easier on the skin. I can really see why Enilsa always says “stretch the skin and get at the base”. You can see the difference here clearly between the more stretched pores and loose ones.

All of the best doctors have taught their colleagues and they have also talked to them about different issues and also received feedback - I feel the best doctors don't have huge egos. This is so thorough. The swab method definitely left less redness and fewer marks, plus zero blood as opposed to extractor tools or fingertips. Bravo.
As a retired Esthetician-Teacher, I found a good steam w certain enzyme products can really help soften these up for extraction. His came out great. Steaming a towel or using a heated bowl in microwave, oven, or by steamer can be a great home remedy in-between treatment
What do you recommend for after care?
I always have wondered why they don’t have a facial before to open up the pores

My dad has this. He's a heavy smoker and I believe it plays a role.
I read that. Smoking and too much sun exposure. That's why you see it on older people.
Favre racouchot is by far one of my most favourites. I guess it must be quite rare? I’ve only seen three cases of it here on TH-cam land. Dr. Lee had a patient who was the masked man, his case was quite extensive where the blackheads seemed like a mask around each eye. This was a pleasure to see your patient get help. I guess it depends on where you live as to how often you see it. I see it everyday where I live where a lot if people work outside in the sun.

Some constructive comments on what I feel makes a Zit Popping Video relaxing...I like when there is less knuckle in the shot and closer screen shot on the pore. It is less relaxing to see a lot of material clinging to the Q-tip and face. It is great that you use Q-tips rather than tools or fingers to squeeze the zit. Keep them coming.

It’s so refreshing to watch a doctor work after watching so many so-called “spas”! They are entertaining but not very thorough. Most of them leave visible debris in the pores. Thanks for a much better video and a very thorough procedure!

It would require someone to do the editing as well so he'd probably need to either hire someone OR work another half day to just edit. Not really possible if you have a full time job.
Favre Racouchot and steatocystomas are my favourite cases. I think because the pops are always good and you can see the immediate improvement. I really like how the skin is instantly smoother and brighter.

Fabulous cotton tip work. I have never seen such deep solar comedones. Usually pretty sperficial. These were so deep and after all that squeezing, can barely tell anything was ever worked on there. Great watch.
