"After my grandfather died i missed him a lot ... but now i only miss him sometimes." - Only a month if not a few weeks ago before the game came out my grandfather died. And a few months before that my teacher and mentor who inspired me greatly passed away as well. I feel like this game really helped me to process some of that loss, it just came out at the right moment in my life and thematically hit very close to where i was at the time, i don't care what anybody says but this game just has such a special place in my heart. I hope developers know how this game means to so many people out there.

This game was really immersive...I mean I WAS V, the characters felt so real

The story & characters really are something else here man
It's clear that so much effort went into animating all the little subtle facial expressions, every character feels real and not to mention its rare to come across a game with writing this good

@@figgo6309 100% man, the nomad lifepath hits really close to home for me personally, being a country boy who tried to make it in the big city, it made me make sense of shit I was going thru in my own life, this will always be one of my favourite stories

Seriously when this game was a flaming dumpster fire it was the story, characters and music that carried the game and gave it some dignity. Theyll never patch and add to this game to make it one of the best games ever. The only thing that will ever be its main strength is the character and story writing and acting and the music for it.
I wont remember the shitty bugs or cardboard city, nor how they patched it to try and improve it.
Ill remember V and Panam. Talking with Johnny in the oil fields. Speaking to Takemura on that building under construction. Consoling Judy. Jackies Ofrenda. Misty and Vik.
I get your point, story characters music and the whole atmosphere is really what made the game so special to me.
However, fixing bugs and crashes is important too because otherwise it can "prevent" people from fully immersing themselves into what the city has to offer !
I'll remember the characters, but I'll also remember the fun I had in combat phases or just driving around.
I'm gonna be an outlier, but I didn't like Panam at all when you meet her in the game. Then there was the side mission to help her settle a score, and I wanted to deny, but pressed the wrong thing by accident... But then it got to me, especially in that cabin during the storm. Fast forward to the final chapter, I chose to ignore my allegiance and called her just to have her at my side through the end. It's such an immersive story line. And the musical theme is phenomenal, still gives me chills

It's true, Riders on the storm is kinda the turning point of her story line. After that, you really are no more an outsider to her.
But also to the city, the merc life and the story in general.
It feels you are in that farm, hiding from the storm.
I took this game SO seriously for a month back when I played it. Its hard to explain but everytime I turned the game on, I had no connection to the real world. One of the only games to take me out of my seat and put me in a place that felt like I mattered. Then I met Panam..

I cried with the whole story with Panam, because it's exactly how I imagined I'd find love. Something that was unexpected, with a person who genuinely cared about me being in their life, who is a little difficult at times but it's endearing, in a human way. Not perfect. She's flawed like me and can show it.
Something Johnny said stuck with me about Panam, "But here n now, just look.
Only hope you've got is they (Panam) feel a pang and stop to wait."
I hope I can find my Panam one day.

I hope we all find our Panam one day
This gives me a hopeful vibe. V is healthy, with Panam in Arizona living happily together. But with a hint of sadness. Because it reminds me of the journey with Panam, the moments, the feelings... When I first played CP, especially after meeting Panam, I was so invested that I forgot it is a game. The characters are so well done that I thought it was real. Now listening to this it makes me sad knowing all that’s left are memories of moments in a game. A great game that is. Still nice idea you had, this is amazing, it deserves more views!
I think I get what you mean, but I'd rather say be happy to have shared a moment of your life with them :)

@@braindancer9254 hope I made sense, was 3 am when I wrote this lol. I agree though, definitely glad that the game exists. I just hope CDPR don’t turn us down in future updates, because I am still hopeful. Either way loved the game with all the bugs that came with it (gave me a good laugh most times :p). Also glad that there are others out there who feel the same despite the general opinion.

Yeah, I'm still hopeful too, and I am confident that they'll learn from this and make Cyberpunk the RPG reference it has the potential to be.
Some people say the game is rigged deep within it's mechanisms so it can't be fixed but I disagree.
I still trust cdpr and I am thankful for making a game that got me involved so much I forgot it even was one.
I mean I WAS in Night City, not many games can acheive that.

I listened to this before the game came out even then it brought tears of nostalga for a world I had never lived in. Nostalga for dreams of a better world we all had in the 80's turned to dust and hubris. People look down now and hope to crawl somewhere and apologise for natural inequality. The spirit to take on the world and problems and change it has become a stillborn dream.
21 years of age and I never thought I’d be admitting to crying over a game but the story the music the dialogue everything about it is breathtaking man
Oh yes, music and writing were some of the major strenghts the game had during its rough launch
Like I always say, no issues in showing emotions, no matter the age
Yup I fell in love the world of cyberpunk, the music, characters, and story all hit home with me

I got very involved in the game and its story, so much that it felt I was with real people. I think I kinda fell in love with her too, and when I realized I couldn't romance her I was very upset cause I thought only one choice at the very beggining had locked her away. It was a real heartache. A few days later I heard that my fem V can't romance her so it "eased" the pain, knowing it wasn't on me.
It feels strange thinking back about those times.
My canon V was a street kid who escaped night city, I’d like to think within the 6 months he had left he and Panam had a child, who is a boy and named him Jackie, so that she won’t be 100% lonely or that my V found a cure.
I hope in the expansions V somehow finds a cure.
But isn't there a hint that Panam knows people who can help ?

Didnt think a game could make me feel this way. After Phantom Liberty (Song dies, Reed matures and leaves) and ultimately leaving Night City with Judy and the Aldecaldos, I can't play this game ever again. It breaks my heart too much.

Even playing it after 1 year.. it’s like i never played it… the game feels new.. and i love the cyber universe.. it gives me chills.. and thinking that we’ll be like this in the future.

Man, I wish I could do that! The first play through I stuck with Panam not knowing that it would be the absolute best way to finish the game. I’ve tried coming back to play a second time and I just can’t get the same sense of immersion I had the first time. Makes me wish I could lose my memory to experience it again.

And, to quote one of my fav MGS songs, "The Best Is Yet To Come" ! I have hope for Phantom Liberty, future updates and even the sequel
On my second consecutive playthrough, played it loads of times now. But these past two I've really taken the time to enjoy the game. I don't have anyone in real life I can call close so this game is like an alternate reality where I made the right choices in life and ended up where I needed to be. CDPR, from the witcher to cyberpunk youve brought me such joy, such companionship, from vesimir to Panam. I've fallen in love with with mere pixels on my screen. But the pixels are arranged so perfectly they seem more real than anything life can muster up. God bless x

People argue about who was a better romance option - Panam or Judy, but... at the endgame, this is what they tell you:
Judy: Ya know V, I think I'm gonna leave Night City. I need some me-time. Take care now.
Panam: You're going on WHAT kind of crazy suicide mission? Wait. Just wait. I will be there in 15 MINUTES with the biggest, meanest bunch of crazy badlands outlaws to ride or die straight into hell with you.

Before cyberpunk came out I had this constant feeling that who I am was not who I should be. Granted I couldn't wave my hand in the general direction, much less put a finger on it, but I knew something was up.
My view of the world was one of deceit and betrayal, I was a hard working guy who's value was measured in dollars I earned or dollars I "helped others save"; family did this too. I also got cheated on, and was bullied since I arrived in England from Tennessee. This was all the way through school, only ever befriending the foreign exchange students who'd leave the same year I met them.
Since meeting Panam though everything made sense, especially the part about the exchange students. I've nearly finished my degree, reckon its bout time I start figuring why everyone outside England is so friendly, always wanted to go motorcycle touring.

This is what's cool about great writing : It allows an external point of view on our own situation and feelings, sometimes providing us the answer we had been looking for

Meeting Panam's ass at the edge of the Night City was the brigthest thing we have ever found in this wonderful world full of broken dreams and hopes. At the beginning it was all about physical attraction, and then we found a brave but tender woman, that have a strong flame inside, who really can see and appreciate the efforts that you are putting into the relationship.
We will never forget her, that is for sure, but how painful it was not, she is only in our heads. And as one guy already said there,
- I hope we can find our Panams...

It is incredibly sad that there's no "a happier ending for everyone involved". Hope in Phantom Liberty we get to save the president in shorter time span and worlds best scientists will be able to get that chip out of V once and for all.
