    Never really followed the story, him or his company until it all imploded a few days ago. But watching this interview is incredibly alarming the amount of guessing they were doing on distressed assets, the complete lack of due diligence or DD under extremely tight deadlines. It's effectively just gambling with investor money and hoping something sticks. It's so indicative of modern day investors who've got away with murder gambling on everything and anything and making money doing it.. at least until the Federal Reserve pulled the rug and changed the entire macro environment. None of this generation could have possibly sen this coming simply because they had no idea what to look for.

      His business model for FTX was perfectly legit. It was a very profitable legitimate exchange. The problem of course was the backdoor for customer funds with a ridiculous credit line to Alameda doing the trading and Alameda somehow epicly failing at that trading in spite of them having access to the 2nd larger exchange in crypto's data... So greedy.

      Halting withdrawals wasn't the mistake, it was the right thing to do for his company. The biggest mistake was why on earth would you use deposit money in that manner ? Even a rookie CEO would now better. Should have only used his revenue and maybe raise more money or leverage his valuation and revenue to get massive loans.
