I love this song. As a child I tried to be invisible due to abuse in our family and this song has made me feel so good about about "being different" as he has used me and my husband as missionaries to the deaf.

" As someone that lives with an invisible chronic illness, many people don't understand it because they can't see it. I'm also on the autism spectrum so I'm different in multiple ways. I have a lot of dreams that just can't be because of the chronic illness. This is not the way I planned to live my life but I can see God using it to help others. This song just nails so many sentiments on the head.
I was on my way to a surgery center yesterday to get a ganglion cyst removed. As we were driving there my mom was playing your music and it helped calm me. When I got there I was told that the cyst was down in my bone and up into the top of my hand. As a pianist this is going to be a long period of trials. Thank you for your beautiful music and the love you have for God. I'm praying for a quick recovery so I can get back to music to use it for God!

If the life I live when the way I planned If the blueprints that I drafted came to be There’s no shadow of a doubt That no one else about Would recognized that I was even me I’m sure Dear Lord, you know I’m not complaining I’d never claim to know what’s best for me I’m simply taking time to re-acknowledge That even when our blueprints disagree I’ll thank you for the things that made me different Things that no one else could understand The things I thought just held me back from what I planned to be But the very things you used to speak to me Lord, the things that made you mean the world to me Though the life I live isn’t what I planned And the blueprints that I just drafted just can’t be There’s no shadow of a doubt You know what you’re about You shape the heed and dreams inside of me I’m sure Dear Lord, you know I’m not complaining I’d never claim to know what’s best for me I’m simply taking time to re-acknowledge That even when our blueprints disagree I’ll thank you for the things that made me different Things that no one else could understand The things I thought just held me back from what I planned to be But the very things you used to speak to me Lord, the things that made you mean the world to me The things I thought just held me back from what I planned to be But the very things you used to speak to me Lord, the things that made you mean the world to me

Hi! I so love this song, and I want the students in class to sing this in their Graduation day, however there is no available instrumental for this. :( My heart bleeds!
The lyrics are, "Lord, the things that made you mean the world to me." That means the things God uses in our lives can become special to us because He used them.
Benjamin Everson thank you. I am praying for your ministry. You just don't know how it helps me, encouraging me to continue in the Faith as a teacher of deaf people.

Benjamin Everson .. I love your music, this song in particular describes my life..keep serving The Lord in the music ministry
If the life I live when the way I planned
If the blueprints that I drafted came to be
There’s no shadow of a doubt
That no one else about
Would recognized that I was even me
I’m sure Dear Lord, you know I’m not complaining
I’d never claim to know what’s best for me
I’m simply taking time to re-acknowledge
That even when our blueprints disagree
I’ll thank you for the things that made me different
Things that no one else could understand
The things I thought just held me back from what I planned to be
But the very things you used to speak to me
Lord, the things that made you mean the world to me
Though the life I live isn’t what I planned
And the blueprints that I just drafted just can’t be
There’s no shadow of a doubt
You know what you’re about
You shape the heed and dreams inside of me
I’m sure Dear Lord, you know I’m not complaining
I’d never claim to know what’s best for me
I’m simply taking time to re-acknowledge
That even when our blueprints disagree
I’ll thank you for the things that made me different
Things that no one else could understand

Lord, the things that made you mean the world to me
The things I thought just held me back from what I planned to be
But the very things you used to speak to me
Lord, the things that made you mean the world to me
So thankful His plans are SO much better than mine!
