One thing that is pretty important but also overlooked in most speaker placement tutorials i have seen so far is the right size of your positioning triangle, so i hope ican make some useful additions here: you want to place your monitors in an equilateral triangle with a side length that is around three times the longest distance between any of the drivers (center to center) on your monitors, so you can perceive the sound as a single sound source. On the other hand you don't wanna get much further away from your speakers, because the further away you get, the less direct signal and the more room signal will be received.
Great video, sympathetic dude. I love the fact you keep recapping.. Very handy for when you're actually doing a thing on the side. will subscribe, watch and like more.
For the focal trio6 do you think 12 feet of space beyond the front firing position would be enough space for them to fire in without the bass being too much for the room?
What’s funny is that they have those expensive monitors sitting flat on top of that console no isolation and he is trying to tell us how to do things....

Which one has flat response for mixing (almost all genres-mainly edm, hip-hop,trap,pop) ? My room (8feet * 12feet) has minimum acoustic treatment.
Vishal Adhikary from my experience the JBL appear the flattest all round for me

In my experience 12 would probably be enough. They are fairly large. Good choice regardless.
5:30 Key point. Looking for a natural flat response.
why do you put a low frequency out?
Because bass frequencies get amplified by being close to walls. Especially with most speakers having rear firing bass ports to enhance the low end.

Add another sub to an unnatural space. So your ear reacts to it . Put it right or left. Make it different. You'll see it in a differing light.
