I kind of laughed because you mentioned watching too much Jason Vong cause I'm guilty as well, actually learned about this lens from his channel which brought me to your channel on the Batis. You have really well put together videos and I really like your content. I hope you get more subscribers. I would recommend buying gear in S. Korea if you can make the trip cause that Zeiss Batis 25mm lens is $750 brand new on sale, pulled the trigger on it last night, while it's still $1299 in the US as of writing this on Feb 2020. The 24 G-Master also cost about $100 less and the Sony A7 III I got was $1500 brand new. I thought it was a mistake in pricing or refurbished, but nope all new stuff, found out it's just standard pricing here for all kinds of lenses and bodies for Sony, Nikon and Canons.

Korea to buy gear anytime soon back, when I commented two weeks ago it was fine...but now it's basically virus apocalypse hahaha. Looking forward to watching more, trapped at home in self-quarantine trying to entertain myself.

I just got this second-hand lens to pair with my A7SII as I plan to shoot more video. Your video is stunning. May I know what video setting do you use for those slow mo footages. New sub.
Thank you so much! Welcome! All the slow mo is 120fps at 1/250 shutter speed and aperture set to f2, ISO 800 in S-Log2. As far as the other camera settings, swing by Make.Art.Now’s channel. His video on cinematic A7iii settings are the ones I use!
dude, have u noticed that this video is losing focus a little for couple of time which is shot on 50mm one of the sharpest lens. help me select a lens for my youtube studio .. mostly working indoors and low light situation. will it be batis 25mm or batis 40mm or sony FE 35mm or the sharpest one sony planar 50mm
The 50mm 1.4 is the sharpest of the bunch, but shooting at 1.4 you’ll definitely see some softness in the image. The GM 24mm is my favorite for holding focus in AF, though, if that helps at all.

Nice bump in production! If you’re shooting on your other Sony a73. (With face detection on) in 4K 24P face detection will work. At 30 P face detection stops working. Next time you shoot throw it in 24P and it will lock on your face like a pit bull ;) For 1080 P face detection keeps working up to 60 frames per second. After that, like the 4K 30 P, it will grab on whatever’s closest However if you’re not shooting on your other a73 and you already know all this stuff forget everything I said. 😬 Thanks for the fun content!

I use the K&F Concept variable ND and have gotten pretty good results.
