    I totally agree, it's the racket of the year for me too. I also have 3 HEAD EXTREME 2022 MP | Avocado racquets with different string strengths. It opened up new opportunities for me to attack with more accuracy, sharpened my aggressive attacking game and improved my net play and overhead shot. The relatively light weight (300gr) and good vibration damping are very comfortable in the hand.

    Agree 100%.. I switched to the extreme mp after years of quite heavy ( 340g+) racquets because I wanted something that would be light but have some stability...as you say , the swingweight is a solid 318g, so i feel like I haven't sacrificed anything with the lower static weight but I get all the benefit. I can continue to use a full bed of poly and it works really well.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's great. Sometimes we play with super heavy rackets just to prove ourselves that we can do it. I think from the point of enjoyment and long term quality and healthy tennis experience it is better to play with a lighter racket with easy power and good manooovrlbity. Enjoy the racket, it' great.

    Hey. How would you compare the comfort of the Aero 2023 to the Extreme MP?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Extreme MP is little bit more comfortable for sure. But it depends on how your body and arm reacts on stiffer frames. If you have no issues, you will be fine with both of these.

    Hi I have commented before about how I liked the Extreme MP much more than the Pure Aero. I still like it but I have changed my opinion totally of the Aero I have found it is a great control racquet ! which can also hit spin. The Aero is also much better on serve than the Extreme. I think the Aero has a smaller sweet spot and or if you miss it the feel is terrible but if you can persevere as I have done and get the feel of hitting pretty flat the Aero gives me loads of power and control with RPM blast which I don’t particularly like but came with the racquet. I need to hit flatter shots some of the time to hit with speed and penetration and not using too much energy hitting loads of top spin which this racquet is okay with but not as spin friendly as the Extreme. The plough through is much better on the Aero.

  • @balintkato

    In one of your recent videos, you suggested that the shock absorber could be placed on the top of the racquet. Out of curiosity, I tried this today on my HEAD EXTREME 2022 MP racquet. My initial experience is very positive. For some reason my groundstrokes have become much more accurate I assumed they were stronger, but I didn't think they were significantly more accurate. I suggest you try it, it will be interesting!

    • @CzechTennisGuy

      Ok, that's great. It adds to the swingweight and overall stability. It can improve power and accuracy at the same time. I will try it with my Artengo racket.

    Great review! You make me enjoy your videos a lot!! 👍🏻😊
    Coming from the previous Extreme Tour (added weight to 320 grams), do you recommend me changing to the new MP?
    I would really like to lower the racket’s static weight and not have to customize it like I had to in order to make it a great stick.
    If yes, would I perform better with the previous version (360+) or with the Auxetic? The only reason to consider buying the 360+ is because I found a great deal in the internet, but like you say, the Auxetic version is not on the expensive side either.
    Thank you.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! If you are not really budget limited, buy the new Auxetic version. If you plan to buy more than 1-2 rackets and you want to save some money, go for the 360+, it's still a great racket - not that plush and forgiving feel, but it's super crisp, stable and clean. But it can be a painfull racket if you have tennis elbow. See ya

      Thank you. Usually stiffer rackets have more defense power. For example Tecnifibre TF-X1 or from the latest rackets I really enjoyed the Wilson Ultra 100 v4, which is a superb defense racket with loads of stability and free power. Obviously Babolat Pure Drive and Pure Aero rackets have the similar defense qualities.

    Tennis Guy… love your videos and thoughtful insight. The one -hander is sort of unique stroke today. From your experience and observations, can you suggest some sticks ( stock) that excel with this stroke, especially flat drives, slice and touch. Thanks, Ciao, John

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much. Without a doubt Pro Staff series is the one to try for one handed backhand. Yonex rackets are also surprisingly well suited for one handed backhand, because the Isometric head shape suits best the players with a more horizontal swing path. So any Vcore Pro should be great for that reason. For one handed backhand, you want to have great feel, lower free power for better control and quick manooovrlbity. So aim for the rackets with 98 inch2 head size. Head Radical should also be a good option. Always look for rackets that have control, feel and manooovrlbity in common. Thinner frame, lower stiffness is also better for one handed backhand. And higher swingweight with hand heavy balance is also good to have.

    hi, how would you compare the head extreme tour with the yonex ezone 98 2022? what is the main difference between them? and which one would you recommend for an advanced player on clay?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, both are great for clay baseliners. Ezone is more stable with muted feel. Extreme Tour has crisper feel, little bit better variety to the strokes and very playful racket, probably more control oriented. So if you want a power house with little bit more muted feel and better stability, go for the Ezone. If you want to have just little bit more fun on the court with some spectacular touch to the ball and spin friendly precision, go for the Extreme Tour. Personally I would go for the Extreme racket just for the extra fun factor and crisper feel.

    Any added weight recommendations? String tension preference for this racket?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't recommend adding any weight to the stock rackets. They feel well balanced. The string tension is a great question. I forgot to mention in the review that Head recommended string tension for the MP version is between 24 - 28 kg. That is not common in todays rackets. Usually nowadays they recommend tension between 22-26 kg. But the new Auxetic MP is so powerfull, that they needed to beef up the tension to maintain the control.

      Both are great so it's really hard to pick the best one. More free power comes from the Extreme Tour, it also feels more alive, but the Radical MP has slightly better touch and control. So it depends on what do you want. Both are great for one handed backhand. The Radical MP is better for one hand than the Radical PRO.

    What's this racket compare to teanifibre TF-X1 300

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has surprisingly more control and precision. The TF-X1 300 is just a monster power racket with huge spin and great energy return. It's great for counterpunchers who know how to properly block the opponenets heavy shots and bring the energy back. I truly had some of the best returns ever with the lighter 285 version, which is in my opinion a better option because of the super fast manooovrlbity and fast swing, yet with a huge power effect. So in terms of power, TF-X1 rackets are one of the most, maybe even the most powerful rackets in their weight category. But control is not really there. You need to have a very sensitive hand to play precisely with these rackets.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's difficult to say. Both rackets are great but probably for a different type of player. Vcore Pro 100 is definitely for a hard hitter, very aggressive player who has strong shots. It's more stable, it's more powerful in terms of plowthrough, more control oriented, with muted feel. Extreme MP is more playful, with easy power, easy manooovrlbity and very fast swing, with crisper feel. It depends on how you play - if you have big strong body, go for the Vcore Pro. If you are more nimble, subtle guy with fast swing, go for the Extreme.

    Kind of beginner, switching from Wilson Blade Feel 100 to Head Extreme MP (same Luxilon Element 125 string), I find it almost impossible to play decently. There is simply no stability. Am I doing something wrong?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The stability of the shots comes not only from the racket, but also from your technique and overall tennis skill. Maybe you are doing something wrong in that sense. The Extreme MP is stable enough to provide you with huge amount of power. Maybe the racket feels too powerful for you in terms of the free power and spin potential. Coming from the Blade series, it can be a completely new world for you. Blades are generally more feel oriented rackets for people with medium swing. Extreme rackets are for people with fast swing and fast wrist. So I would suggest you try another racket or a lighter version of Extreme racket like the Extreme Team or Extreme MP L.

    Bought the Tour and played it today, with Kirschbaum Helix 1.2 @25kg. The racket feels great, but the power is over the top, at least with this string setup. Ball launches like a skyrocket, and will hit the fence if you don’t put enough spin on the ball.
    I guess I will have put a different string on. Any recommendation?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not familiar with the Kirschbaum Helix, but from what I've heard it's a softer co-poly with a spiral shape to enhance the spin a control. Maybe you should try a firmer poly like Tecnifibre Razor Code, Tecnifibre Ice Code or Head Lynx Tour at a higher tension. What's interesting and I forgot to mention it in the review is that Head recommended string tension for the MP version is between 24 - 28 kg. That is not common in todays rackets. Usually nowadays they recommend tension between 22-26 kg. But the new Auxetic MP is so powerfull, that they needed to beef up the tension to maintain the control. So first try to go up to 28 kg with the tension and after that try another string I recommended to you.

    • @KiboTennis
      @KiboTennis ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CzechTennisGuy thank you. I will do that. However, I don’t dare to go for 28kg. I will maybe go up to 1.25 with 26kg first. Then try a stiffer string. I am also using the speed mp 2022, but the extreme tour has definitely more power. It is stunning how two rackets with the same material, beam and string pattern differ so much. it’s like the rackets are teaching me: speed mp wants me to hit flat, extreme tour forces me to hit topspin.
