Learn Jazz Standards Series: Fly Me To The Moon (Bart Howard)
In this video we analyse the classic jazz standard Fly Me To The Moon, written by Bart Howard in 1954. We break down the structure, harmony and melody, hopefully making it easier to learn and remember. This video also includes jazz harmony tips, jazz piano chords/voicings and a look at the cycle of 4ths.

My goodness as a self taught pianist i couldn't thank you enough for these analysis videos finding these playlists have been the key to the door blocking me from "getting" jazz

First comment here (yay) : /Apologies for the rather long post to come / I just would like to thank you so much, Jacky, for your work and dedication. I should emphasize that I really never ever sign-in nor comment on anything, but I felt compelled to, so here you go.
This is an amazing resource you provide us with here. I am a long time amateur musician from Paris who played his share of music for decades, with no formal music education, without ever having/taking time to dive deep enough into music theory and as a result I staled for a long while. I eventually realised that there was no way around it and I couldn't get away with it.
Problem is, when you just start "out of the blue" from a music sheet there is nobody to help you fill the gaps and connect the dots, there is only so much a beginner can analyze on his own.
Content like yours is gold and absolutely mandatory. It helps sooooo much. Many times after a hard day of work I come to the piano and set myself to learn a piece. Only to spend a couple of hours scratching my head over what it is really happening in the music, staring at the sheet and writing stuff, and I end up not touching a single note, left with the bitter feeling that the task is insurmountable, and that I am moving forward at such a sloooooow pace. This can sometimes feel discouraging.
So resources like these are incredibly helpful. Also, youtube can be overwhelming with so much content that it just makes your head spin and you just don't know where to start.
So your channel is a bliss, a safe haven for the not so beginner who wants to take things step by step but go far enough to really understand stuff and move forward.
As a side note, I also have the same Nord Piano so I feel even more "at home" :)
I am downloading straight away some of your handouts from the website. If you happen to have any advice on books analyzing classics the same way I'd be grateful

As always, amazing job dissecting a beautiful standard, can i request a rather underrated standard? Its "If you could see me now" by Tadd Dameron, i would love a video about this one! And again, amazing job, thank you so much for all your efforts.

how did you know it was harmonic minor as oppsed to reguylar minor? is it the melody or chords that give it away?

I believe a harmonic minor scale has the sixth note of the normal scale raised by a half step.
