- Ok, i as a teen listen to a lot of musical genres that i consider at leass acceptable(Classical, Electronic, New music,Rock'n roll,Metal, and some piece from new Pop music i like)...
All this 30 masterpiece survived trough many many decades, and made the history.
As a represant of new generation i just say: Classical music is ART...
my 4th project together with rm1475 & hope it's not the last one...

Oh dear why oh why do people become so offended when some one puts a list of music together and calls “the best of” it is simply just that one person who has taken time to sort out a list of beautiful music and put it into some sort order that suits him/her? Please people just sit back and enjoy the magic of music - and yes and if you think the list needs a subtraction here or an addition there i am sure no-one will truly mind (will they??)

OMG, for him to have listed Gustav Mahler as many times as he did, and only mentioning Vivaldi once and not to mention not a single mention of Handel shows that he cant difference good music from hes own fart noises and if you don't believe me ask Beethoven him self which was quoted to say that the greatest master of us all was Handel, and to bad he died before he heard Mahler, otherwise he would have said that he was he was the worst of it all.

@@Un-homme-avec-raison I love Mozart and Beethoven but dislike Brahms... and I dislike Bach even more than him. I love the Romantic Russian (Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Mussorgsky) and Czech (Dvorak, Smetana) composers best.

Good representation of Debussy, Mahler and Verdi....... some of the pieces are new to me and really beautiful. Nice to see a couple of Prokofiev pieces too !!!!! Thanks.
And if I may add anything, I'd like to propose three : Paganini's Caprice 24, Rimsky-Korsakov's Sadko and Rossini's Thieving Magpies.

I had a music box of Für Elise when I was little, and once heard the piece in a conditioner ad and I was like " Hey, that's the song from my music box!"

J3TT191. I agree. There are several other Dvorak pieces that should be there. His Cello Concerto is second to none. He also wrote several beautiful Serenades (Winds & Strings), as well as Symphonies 7 & 8.

Winder of Vivaldi is delightful.
We need more entertainment using classical music like Tom and Jerry (my preferred episode was the piano with all the orchestra) and games like civilization, thanks to it I discovered amazing symphonies and the Hungarian Dances and believe you or not the Brandeburgo Concerts.

Schubert is in the list, Ave Maria is composed by him. Nocturne must actually stand in the list too because it is a great masterpiece by Chopin. Air should be in the list to, Air is composed by Bach

I know it isnt on the list but imo Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture is the most iconic piece of Classical music ever. It is simply unforgettable.
It is the old Russian anthem composed by Alexei Lvov. It was the winner of a music competition in 1833.

First of all, this was a nice choice! I understand that classical music has produced so many masterpieces that it is impossible to conclude every one of them in 1 video. Nevertheless, I would choose a more balanced selection with a bigger variety of composers (not so many pieces of one composer), less of opera and, of course, more of J.S.Bach! I repeat, though, that this was a nice try!
