I love how the boyfriend was really supportive and didn't seem to care that they didn't go to prom after all. Instead, he made light of the situation and really calmed her down. He didn't whine nor complain but was loving and understanding. There aren't many people out there that would do that for somebody. Thanks for another incredible video, Omeleto!
flufftronable what i meant is i can’t really understand what they’re saying because their accent is too thick for me to follow, and the auto-generated captions aren’t helping either. But i can feel from their expressions, body language, and emotions from even the smallest flick of their wrists.. which is 1000x better to me. The universal language of the world.
What a beautiful, beautiful film. Beautifully acted by both. I dearly hope we get the opportunity as an audience to see Barry Keoghan play a part like this in a feature length film. He has come to fame after giving incredible performances of eerie characters such as Martin in Killing of a Sacred Deer, but he also has this in him. He plays the loving, truly compassionate friend and boyfriend with such an ease it's like breathing. Just a stunning performance. Barry Keoghan really is a once in a lifetime talent. I can't wait to see where his career goes.
This is so accurate. My mother is still the same alcoholic she was decades ago and in my teen years, BOY did she do some messed up things. One being smashing a plate of food directly at my face in a fit of rage amongst many others things. She was ALWAYS sorry afterwards but it didn't stop it carrying on happening. It truly sucked.
@@KreepyKaren No it really doesn't matter, he's pleasing on the eye and a great actor. Thought he was 31! Anyways either way, I could still be his grandma haha
This hit home. I lived with my very young grandparents and my grandfather was my whole world but he was an alcoholic. Sometimes he would fall and hurt himself badly and my grandmother and mother, to save his pride would get one of my toys which were always stowed away and roll it out so it was like he tripped over it. They didnt mean to hurt me but I was wee and thinking that something I did broke all of the person I loved mosts toes and ripped them all out of the skin or that something I did caused him to fall into the glass shower door and cut his back to ribbons tore me apart inside. He died at 43 from cirhossis. To this day, I get extreme anxiety and depression around clutter of any kind. Typing this is making me cry lol (silly girl) and I have now lived longer than he ever did. Lovely film. Good cast. Thank you

Oh my heart!!! Very well done, everyone involved! My dad was an alcoholic, this brought up all kind of tears & emotions. He was always the same, very apologetic afterwards. Oooof ❤️🩹
i just watched this randomly and saw that the character Jammo was played by a guy who i went to school with 6+ years ago, Nathan Beatley?! fair play to ya! -Alan Carroll Savio 1
As someone who's struggled with alcohol addiction, I love the little details in this. The kitchen's littered with full-sized empty alcohol bottles, and the mother is sitting on the couch drinking from a tiny plastic 375ml bottle of bottom shelf vodka. So you KNOW she ain't gonna have that girl's money.
Not only was she an alcoholic but the way she treated her daughter, I feel like she's jealous of her child because she's probably lonely? I knew she was going to grab for her daughter's hair to mess it up and that's sad how she treats her.

A 13-minute film made me adore and be interested in two people than a 5 million budget film with the same actors you see on the movie screen. Bravo.
