I actually like these events because of the shorter ride waits lol. We just skip past the character photos, and don’t trick or treat, and we’re practically walking on all the rides. This is why I pay extra for the event 😉 it’s themed, special treats, special parade, night time, and the rides are all shorter without having to use Genie+! 💯
Yup this and the parade is what we go for. We look at the "rare" characters from a far as you could easily spend your entire night waiting to see some of them.
We bought a $24.99 Halloween bag and then went through the Trick or Treet centers. We emptied the bags in the first bag and asked for extra candy because our bags were empty. We filled the first bag with about 35-45 pounds of Candy.
Love you AJ, but I couldn't help but notice you kept saying 4 hours of party time when it would be 5 hours (7-12 is 5 if I'm not mistaken) so that extra hour does make a difference! I'm going September 5th and can't wait!

Just an FYI on the after hours Halloween party. We were there on Friday and the park was empty since there were no fireworks and closing early at 6. It was amazing!!! We walked on everything. Only Mine Train was long and like 30 min. We arrived an hour after rope drop and Peter Pan was a 30 second wait time.
I'm finally booking a trip for September '23 after years of dreaming and fake planning trips. So excited to watch and re-watch all the videos and finally actually plan a real trip to WDW! On my birthday too!! Really hoping I can squeeze in a MNSSHP night too, my best friend and I LOVE Halloween

Helpful and great video. A tip for your viewers: Go buy the party exclusive merchandise as soon as you get there (provided they have it in stock...) because the stores like the Emporium, will HARD close at Midnight, regardless of anything else going on at the party.
7 pm - 12 am = 5 hours of party time. You can get into the park at 4 pm with your MNSSHP ticket. Those already in the park can get their party wristbands in 6 locations throughout the park. Lightning Lane reservations will not be available during the party. You get an exclusive print as you leave the park. Resort hotels may share buses at the end of the night. Take an extra bag for candy. Have fun, do haunts. I'm trash.

I didn't think of the "Chilling Chamber Pop" as a toilet pun. It's a nod to the stretching room at Haunted Mansion (with the art included)... "This chamber has no windows and no doors!" I think it's kind of brilliant for a push pop haha.
i went to mickey's not so scary and it was SO MUCH FUN. even though it rained, the wait times were so low it was amazing. It is definitely worth it if you have a sort trip and if it happens to fall during your trip days.
I was at the opening night. The rain was a super big bummer, and no rain check since we had to leave two days later. I did Boo Bash last year and I honestly enjoyed that event more. ☹️

I remember going to the Halloween party when my kids were younger. Back then it was far less expensive 11 years ago. It did not include the stage show or the food. It did include trick or treating and the Parade.

Last year they gave out free drinks, popcorn, and ice cream. Im assuming those are back to not being free due to them only being added due to the event being so much smaller
Been waiting a LONG time to see MNSSHP back! Haven’t gone myself but these videos are the next best thing! Really enjoy how it goes over everything included, good tips, what’s actually in the food so’s you know in advance, recommended this channel to my sis last year when they went to Disney, very helpful indeed. If we did go, probably stick to just the event tickets cuz Halloween is the best and would be awesome to see everything firsthand instead of just watching YT. Probly have to make some space in the budget for the merch & the food but would be quite worth it me thinks. Lotta the food looks real good and the merch looks pretty swag. Can never have enough Halloween stuff imo. Or Disney Halloween merch. That’s the tops right there.
Oh don't forget about the magic shots and unique pictures you can get! If you have the memory maker, you can take as many of the unique pictures as you want. Our favorites are holding the lantern outside the Haunted Mansion and the lighted Lantern from tangled that you can take pictures with in the small tangled section of the park. So awesome to have those! =)
I mean no offense to anyone who enjoys it, but to me it just looks like after hours (or extended evening hours whatever it’s called nowadays lol) with the trick or treat stands they got at malls (and other theme parks cause I think SeaWorld has similar stands). The only thing that really looks worth it is the nighttime shows and parades in my opinion. I’m not HUUUUGE on meet and greets but I understand they’re important to other guests and I can understand the hype for them (plus you get some really rare characters lol). I’m just throwing around my two cents, and seeing if anyone agrees with me lol but again if y’all love it and it’s worth it to you ey more power to ya 👍

It was extra rainy when I went late last month. Nearly didn't get to see the Sanderson Sisters shows it was that bad. Thankfully they squeezed in the one showing at midnight before the end of the party.
Ok we went in 2019 with kids and my advice is to plan going to the party early on into your trip. We did it two days before we left and the kids were exhausted and wanted to leave early

My husband and I went to this last year in august 2021 and unfortunately it stormed almost the entire time of the after hours party. We road Space Mountain over and over again about 10 times because it was the only roller coaster that was still open because it was indoors. Overall since it was just the two of us we made due and ended up having enough fun to make the extra 150 some odd dollars a person worth it, but if we had children with us the night probably would’ve been ruined. There were also still a lot of Covid restrictions then, so character meet and greets were not going to be a thing anyway which was still upsetting. Getting to dress in full costume as an adult during this after hours party WAS a thing then and I was fully rocking my Maleficent costume :D
@@meheartdiggy it may have been called something slightly different but yeah Disney World had several dates for this event last year. We went for our belated honeymoon and when we originally booked (for April 2020), the event was called something like “Villains After Hours”, which I imagine might have been a little different. But when we went they handed out candy and special treats and all the cast members were dressed in the same uniforms shown here. The park was open until pretty late (like 1am or 2am, can’t remember that detail).
You mention "your 4 hours of party time" at 4:21, but it's 7pm-midnight, which is 5 hours, right? Also, you said Be Our Guest will be open during the party. I heard it closed at 7pm on party nights. Which is it?

So I plan to attend this year. I’m going as The Beast. I have a full Beast mask and a semi long cape upto my calves length. Will this be allowed inside? Are they super strict with costumes? I don’t wanna go in my Beast costume to find out that they won’t allow me in. I would be so pissed
Disney has full costume guidelines on their website. There are specific rules around full face masks & the length of capes so I would definitely recommend checking that out first
I just bought tickets for the Halloween party and I think will be amazing. We are Brazilians (we don't have trick or treat here) and I have a 9 years old nephew that will be crazy about trick or treat. Overall since it was just the two of us we made due and ended up having enough fun to make the extra 150 some odd dollars a person worth it, but if we had children with us the night probably would’ve been ruined. There were also still a lot of Covid restrictions then, so character meet and greets were not going to be a thing anyway which was still upsetting. Getting to dress in full costume as an adult during this after hours party WAS a thing then and I was fully rocking my Maleficent costume :D

@@meheartdiggy it may have been called something slightly different but yeah Disney World had several dates for this event last year. We went for our belated honeymoon and when we originally booked (for April 2020), the event was called something like “Villains After Hours”, which I imagine might have been a little different. But when we went they handed out candy and special treats and all the cast members were dressed in the same uniforms shown here. The park was open until pretty late (like 1am or 2am, can’t remember that detail).

So I plan to attend this year. I’m going as The Beast. I have a full Beast mask and a semi long cape upto my calves length. Will this be allowed inside? Are they super strict with costumes? I don’t wanna go in my Beast costume to find out that they won’t allow me in. I would be so pissed
Disney has full costume guidelines on their website. There are specific rules around full face masks & the length of capes so I would definitely recommend checking that out first

I just bought tickets for the Halloween party and I think will be amazing. We are Brazilians (we don't have trick or treat here) and I have a 9 years old nephew that will be crazy about trick or treat. Also we are watching all the Disney's Halloween movies so we can be prepare for meeting characters. Me as an adult just want to try the coffee pumpkin.
