enjoying this video, she and Marilyn made quite a team in Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. Love those movies and miss Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and the trio of handsome Hollywood leading men. If we could only turn back time!
Wow, I love this. My mom used to always watch movies and listen to songs from the 40's, 50's and 60's. I remember Jane and Marilyn. Awesome to see and I'm glad the people appreciated this.
I think this was recorded shortly before Jane Russell passed. I was lucky enough to interview the actress in 1972. The interview reflects some of the same unexpected sweetness, generosity, humour and charm which we see in this interview footage. One sees why she was a sustaining and a beloved star.
I thank the poster for this great video of a great and beautiful movie star. I am a 75 YO male who was as infatuated as a young man can be with Jane Russell during her career. I did lose track as l lived life but I never will forget her. RIP
dearest dearest Lady ......I become tears in my eyes while you sing " bye bye Baby.......Thank you so much ...R I P Mrs Russell you and Marilyn are reunited .......Diamands are the girls bet freind ...forether ....Hugs from Gemany and Austria !!! never forget Jane Russell and Marilyn
She is such a spitfire! So full of life! I am doing a speech on her in my public speaking class soon and this helped a lot! Thank you! RIP Big Bad Jane
Outstanding Amazing she was. Thanks so much. Merci beaucoup. Incrediblle historical VOICE and BODY she was. Merci beaucoup for this incrediblle archive. Hurray for new introduced US president. Shame on the worst ever. Happy new year to yu all.
Thank you so much for posting this video, I really enjoyed it. I still miss Wogan and Parkinson on TV. They did some memorable interviews with the stars... Bette Davis was unforgettable.. Stardom didn't ruin Jane Russell or turn her into a diva brat, what a lovely lady...
This video is to nice. I ever liked her. I once saw her over 15 years ago here in my home city Duesseldorf / Germany opening our musical theater. Also got her autograph in her program of the Berlin Film Festival were she was honored in the early 80th. I was so shocked the day she died this year! I have most of her movies in my arcive. See Jane as we all remember her in "The French Line" preforming her song "I'm Looking For Trouble". WOW! :-) So sexy adorable!
Thank you for these wonderful moments with Jane Russell. Her voice is wonderful and what a delightful star she is! This TH-cam offering went immediately into my Favorites Folder. I'm going to share it with all my friends. I remember seeing Russell in COMPANY and she was beautiful, glamorous, witty, and marvelous. I wonder if there is footage of Russell doing THE LADIES WHO LUNCH.
So tragic that Jane had such trying times in her life to deal with.... yet she emerged victorious & stronger because of her trials! What a talent she was!!
The first part of her speech knocked me down! Jane Russell is an amazing actress. If only she would jump out of her grave and singing some musical numbers from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes."
A Bea Arthur and Jane Russell duet would have been wonderful!!! Two old broads belting oldies in their husky voices. Plus cigs and scotch for Bea of course B)
according to IMDB she was an self-proclaimed arch conservative (she liked Ann Coulter, etc.), but she couldn't be that bad since she played the Castro St. Theater! great video!
Sometimes we are lucky to have good genes and some unfortunately don't. Also add to the mix is medication despite is somewhat good effect can have a negative effect on the body. So be gentle with these past generations. They do their best.
She was so beautiful... But if you could take this clip and show it to Hughes back in 1940, he might have a heart attack. Then he'd badger you about modern technology, especially planes.
She was never a girly girl very much a tomboy growing up and did a lot of her own stunts she never really went Hollywood.. salty and a true broad right till the end
She was eighty-three at that time... chapeau!! Style never goes out of style.
Another HUGE loss to the movie industry. Talent, beauty and "presence" they don't have today.
Thanks for sharing.
No they don't I agree

Now that is what you call a STAR!!!
Love the stories....especially the ones about Richard Egan
Such a life of giving from her heart using the talents that were inherent in her being, beautiful soul,
What an entertainer! What charisma. She was so much more than her "assets" and her career proves that.
I thank the poster for this great video of a great and beautiful movie star. I am a 75 YO male who was as infatuated as a young man can be with Jane Russell during her career. I did lose track as l lived life but I never will forget her. RIP

Jane did one great job in this. The ending was superb!
I saw her that day outside the Castro before she entered. She looked great, exiting the limo. Old Hollywood glamour
I loved here in her movies.

Respect.
maintained beauty for a long time
Thank you Mr. Huestis.
MARVELOUS!
WOW she is just radiating! I know I'll be in a damn rocker at 83 lol
So tragic that Jane had such trying times in her life to deal with.... yet she emerged victorious & stronger because of her trials! What a talent she was!!

The facial expression she makes at 5:31 is one she made in pictures throughout her entire movie career
Love Jane! ♥️

Yes RIP Jane Thank You.
Good god😂
Wonderful to see her still enthralling an audience. I would have like to hear her talk more about Mitchum than Egan.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
she's still as beautiful as ever funny and charming (the wife)
Ahh what a woman she was, so witty and beautiful ❤️ they don't make em like they used to
Big Bad Jane
Immer noch für mich einer der schönsten frauen der weld ich verneige mich vor ihr🌹
The description says it's from July 2004. Jane died in February 2011. So about seven years before her death.

I know that, my comment was lighthearted.

Look at that face, gorgeous
❤️😔
Don't kid yourself... nobody is 'very lucky' in the 'looks' department after the right number of decades have gone by. In that, you can trust!
well i was born in the 90s and famous people let the fame go to there head and can't handle it unlike the famous people in the 50s :)
When asked what it was like to be a sex symbol, Miss Russell replied, "just a pain in the ass". What a terrific lady!
Tan femenina!!!💜
سبحان الله ، البشر لو عاش ١٠٠ سنة فان كل شي ذاهب الى الزوال ، عندما اشاهد افلامها وهي في شبابها ، وكيف اصبحت ، انه لشي محزن😭
r.i.p
@jabbaa6500 I totally SECOND that.
She was so beautiful... But if you could take this clip and show it to Hughes back in 1940, he might have a heart attack. Then he'd badger you about modern technology, especially planes.
Maybe then he'd come out of that closet he was in his entire life
Well give it a few decades and people will be saying the same thing about you...
if you're lucky.
Je regarde toujours les films dont elle apparesse surtous les implacables.
She was never a girly girl very much a tomboy growing up and did a lot of her own stunts she never really went Hollywood.. salty and a true broad right till the end
I can only imagine Marylin being a old biddy ❤️
Old man ....
She should have ditched the shoulder pads long ago...
