Historically, Why didn't Females Take Important Religious Positions in Islam?

    Thank you Sayed for this brief video clarifying us about this topic. I have a question though. If the grandmother of Imam Al-Madi ajtfs Hazrate Hudayth sa was the intermediary during Ghaybate Sughra and gave Islamic knowledge and insight (and of course Hazrate Zaynab sa) why are most Maraja against female leadership aka a woman becoming and being a Marja Al-Taqleed? I would be very grateful if you could answer me or refer a video discussing this topping. Ma Salaam

      The short answer, men are the maintainers of women. These women scholars and leaders are exceptions in Islam, but aren't the rule. As brother Sayed stated in the beginning, most societies are traditionally patriarchal.

      So if it’s not Haram, as there are clear exceptions to the “rule”, it’s not really a rule is it.

      @@NN-fz4pd its not so much a question of Halah or Haram, like, in terms of food. Its more social guidelines to maintain a society. Again, most societies are traditionally and historically patriarchal.
