Love it! My grandmother had a way to fold notes into envelopes, she taught me but at 66 the brain has hidden it who knows where and can't remember. Thank you for taking me back to that beautiful time.
I tried this with some Halloween card stock I had that was already 8 1/2 x 11, so no need to cut it down. I got the folds and everything, but my right side does not fold over the left side -- it meets it perfectly. My front triangle that folds over is larger and more to the left. Overall, it looks the same, but there are some minor differences. Thanks for the cute card fold and I am sure I will make more of these in the future. Probably for Christmas cards.
Brenda - I messed up with my first one - for the second one I looked carefully at her photo to make sure I had the inside card lined up as the photo looked - then it worked for me!! I then made a template and did all of my measurements for everything inside - this makes it easy for me - there for I have the entire envelope folds - pencil mark, the sizes for the card layers - etc. all in one neatly folded back up Magic Envelope card as my template! Yeah - this is what works best for me
This is genius Kelly! That took less than 5 minutes to make! I have so much 8.5 x 11 DSP light weight that I can use to make these. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for sharing this! God bless!!!!!
Awesome project! I'm curious, if you glue that last little flap with either (permanent) liquid glue or double-sided tape, won't it be hard for the recipient to open it without destroying the whole thing? I know it's not a "big," time-consuming project, but I still don't want whoever gets it to have to mangle it--and potentially rip the cardstock inside--just to read my message. Thanks for sharing, & have a great day! :)
Made this - also made a template - this is the best tutorial - only one measurement - makes it easy!! TFS
Thanks for sharing! I love this! I make Junk Journals and this will be fun to add to a journal. 💜💜💜

Wow so easy no tools!! I can even put a gift card slot in it. Thank you.

Tip: make a triangle template for the beginning and then you don't have to eyeball anymore. Cute comeback.
Izzaboutchu! BRILLIANT ❣️ that’s what I need to do - mine kept out coming different every time 🤨
Any idea if these go through the USPS well? Especially the cancellation area. Great idea!!
I think I would add a little tape on the sides.
Also a good use for all that Washi Tape we have hoarded as well!
I love this card. I do have the diagonal scoring plate, would you have the measurements for using the diagonal plate for this card? Thank-you.
Yes, I saw some do a search for Magic Envelope using diagonal scoring plate - enjoy
Great tutorial. Can't wait to use up all that DSP I have been hoarding.
Thank you very much. I really like this idea. You can bet I will be making some of these card envelopes.

That's a lovely project. We have way too many tools now. It's good to get back to real hand-made!! Tfs.
I love it! Thank you Kelly, that will be my protect today :)
Awesome, Kelly! Thanks!
