ManBearPig it is still little for not having as much copies sold as bf or cod but its still a good game
The thing I like a lot about insurgency is the animation. Nothing is exaggerated or ridiculously impractical. The guy just does his reloads slowly but properly.

@Kevin Benitez @Señor Star maybe not perfectly calm, but you'd probably go slowly to get the reload done without missing the mag hole or dropping a bullet. Unless you're assaulting a house, in which case go as fast as you need.
i mean at least have different variants of reloading, say hiding under cover - take some time. Shooting under fire - reload quick and die

Something is not right here though, the guns are missing their sounds of huehue, loud nigra, pewpew, anime moaning sounds and the M16/4 aren't covered in bacon and the American flag.
Also props for Insurgency being like the cheapest best game for like a dollar or two.

@@aweeeeh5255 whats wierd is the ak 47 irl isn't very common, idk much about insurgency, but the akm is a stamped variant, most aks are akms. Literally the same as a ak47 but stamped.

they should've added 2 reload variations like Calm Reload and Being Supressed Reload

Tyler S cool concept but I think when the player is being suppressed the reload become more clumsy and the hand start shaking is better
Matt Schofield Crysis 2 and 3 have a feature similar to this. Your character has three modes of operation, "standard" "heavy armor" and "cloak". When in heavy armor, the reload animation is faster, very anxious. The character slaps bolt catches and throws away spare or empty magazines. When cloaked, the reload is 2-3 times slower. He meticulously taps the mag release, slowly and gingerly loads in a new mag, and works the bolt so it doesn't make any sort of characteristic "snap"

Basically one of the best FPS games ever played. The gun sounds plus the reloads are deeply satisfying. Especially the AK variant weapons. Congrats to the developers of this game. 😊

These weapon sounds though, satisfaction since 8 years.
I think the best sound mod for this game is Squad sound pack. Makes weapons sound more authentic + sounds of explosions are very close to real.

Because in real life, reloads aren’t as fast as CoD sleight of hand. It’s harder than you think. You have to be familiar with the gun and know your way around it, it isnkt as simple as “just take the mag out, put a fresh one in”.

Candidate to the best gun animations in any FPS? I mean it's far better than BF4 and the like. Not "silly" like COD's either.

Killing Floor 2 has the best animations in the FPS genre. They used motion capture, means you see real life animations ingame, means it can't get better, they are incredibly detailed with amazing gun models too

the m45 is the other version of M1911, with rails underneath the gun. however Colt 1911's were from WW2 and they made a special version for modern times, the 1911A1, M1911A1, and the M4511. CAN BE USED WITH 9MM's AND .45ACP's

The ADS of the AKM and AK-74 make the character's hand look like it's huge.
Alright graphics, but Insurgency has gone the closest to realistic gun shot sounds.

I always love a galil appearing in a shooter, just to get disappointed when the character doesn't grab the bolt handle from the top when chambering the round. Hard trying to think of a game that's even displayed that.
I remember reading the operation manual for it, and one of its illustrations show a right-handed shooter charging the weapon with their left hand.
I'm pretty new to this game and I love taking the role of Recon or Support, any recommendations of what guns I should get?
LeonTheLion the kolibri with extended mag, full auto, rifle stock and a 40x magnification scope
Go with a grenade, get to Alpha , Bravo or Charlie and camp there
Either UMP-45 or MP5 with AP rounds. Remove armor cause you won't need it, chest rig (or carrier if you want) and carry some a smoke, flash, or nade
Recon: If you want a smg, go with the UMP-45, if you want a rifle, go with the M4A1, for attachments, red dots, holographic, grips and suppressors are all good choice, for support: M249 just go with the M249, it's for security force, and remember, light armor cost no supply points
Recon: suppressed m9 or makarov, no primary, no armor, optional chest rig for ammo, incendiary if going for caches and have supplies. In general be as light as possible and rush for objectives.

Really weird bug on the M249 animation, this never happened to me.
When did they change the reload animation for the Makarov? I remember when it was reloading, the gun was tilted almost 90 degrees before bumping in the magazine.

Because the guys who made this know that we want realism, not cheesy-over the top animations and sounds.
Also, the game is free, so obviously the developers don't care about money. The multimillionaire company does.
The game is about 12 dollars and all content released was free

M16A4 on single fire with AP rounds are my favorite gun of all time

Only the insurgents use WW2 weapons. Security uses all modern weapons.

i would rather use Autvimat Kalashnikov's if im in war, because of their usefull marksman ammo, the 7.62mm Nato rounds which is as powerful as 3 shots of 5.56mm rounds, just like an M16, or M1A1 from VietCong.
