  • In this Kadence Element Hooks tutorial, I will teach you how to create an "About the Author" sidebar element using the Kadence Theme.
    📘 Full blog post: startblogging101.com/how-to-c...
    I'll teach you exactly how to use Kadence Hooked Elements to create an "About the Author" element that shows up above your sidebar on your WordPress website. Another use case that I demonstrate is creating a "Meet the Teacher" bio element that you can show in your sidebar when using a WordPress LMS such as LifterLMS or LearnDash. The best part is that you can create a new author box for every single author on your website, so this works perfectly for single author or multi-author WordPress sites.
    The free version of the Kadence theme already includes an "About the Author" bio that you can show after your blog post content, but this adds a more visible author box that shows above your sidebar which is great for desktop.

    Thank you for creating this very informative About The Author video. I never would have thought about adding an about the author element to my blog posts if I did not find your video.

      @@StartBlogging101 I'm facing an issue related to kadence blocks, if we create any block we can't use it on more pages and can't use in same page for multiple times too, if we change text in one block it gets changed in other too in same page or if we create in page rather than in blocks section it takes too long

    Nice tutorial. How does one display latest posts and featured posts on the homepage using kadence theme? Is it a pro feature? Could you make a tutorial showing how it's done if u have the chance to?

      Appreciate it, Obinna! If you're wondering how to display the latest posts on your homepage, you can use a "Post Grid/Carousel" block which comes with Kadence Blocks Pro. Kadence Blocks Pro can be purchased separately, otherwise a Kadence Membership includes Kadence Theme Pro and Kadence Blocks Pro. You can see a demo of the Post Grid/Carousel block here: themes.kadencethemes.com/ascend-premium-10/post-grid-carousel/?ref=384

    Thanks for the wonderful tutorials! I tried it but How to not show the sidebar in mobile layout? it's annoying when appears longer than I expected.

      Glad you like them! Are you simply trying to hide the "About the Author" element itself from the sidebar on mobile? If so, you can specify to only show your element on "Desktop" so that it won't show on mobile. If you're looking to hide the entire sidebar on mobile, you would have to use some custom CSS to target the sidebar and hide it.

    How did you inserted the created hooked element (Author bio) in the sidebar?

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nitin! Once you have your "Author bio" element created, you then go into the Element Settings and choose your Location (I chose "Before Sidebar") which then hooks it into the sidebar before all the other items in your sidebar. Then, choose your Display Settings (if you want the element to show up on blog posts or pages or anywhere). I go over this in the video. Let me know if that works for you!

    I want to create a different sidebar for each page and post. What are the steps to do it?

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The developer of Kadence is working on a hook that he's going to add that will allow you to completely replace your sidebar and even build your entire sidebar using blocks. It will be even better than what other themes offer!

    Hey, how do i exclude the element from mobile?

    • @StartBlogging101
      @StartBlogging101  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! All you have to do is choose "Desktop" for the "Device Settings" which will only show it on desktop and won't show it on Tablet or Mobile. Hope that helps!
