Being a dancer I can conclude that the choreography is very difficult! Sarah is a true artist where she can sing and dance. Doing that high note after the dance break is a big Wow. Deserved top 10 in the Final! Robbed 100%
Now that the contest is over, I went to look at what position my country placed in and I was honestly shocked. I did not expect us to qualify last Thursday but to find out she placed last is truly disheartening. I know that Loop is very generic, but Sarah’s performance was phenomenal, it did not deserve this. This is the second year in a row where we placed dead last in a televote only semi. Sarah if you see this, Malta is still proud of you xx

I actually love the song and think it's great. The performance was also outstanding. I have no idea how she didn't qualify. It was pure entertainment and a song that is catchy! She deserved better. I hope Malta is proud of Sarah and sending support from Scotland for her too! x
I voted 3 times for Malta in France :) in the end Malta got 1 point from France, so maybe it was all thanks to me haha but fr she truly owned the stage. She deserved much better

@@GaryWaldrom we've heard a lot of Austria's songs (since the 90s), Latvia's and Norway's (since Forever)... and Estonia's out of tune (on a bad karaoke night)...so what's your point again? Music has many genres and they inspire each other. Having heard something of the same genre before doesn't make it bad. They didn't qualify because they're Malta! Period! If this song was from Sweden it would have breezed through so easily. Don't know what they could do more at this point 😢 Malta is always treated unfairly!

@@jojo_mystified i feel like we should withdraw forever like turkey. Its a geopolitical contest and depends on factors which do not relate to the song nor the performance. I feel like its useless. As a country we were always successful at showcasing talent locally and internationally e.g. destiny with x factor, junior Eurovision, ira losco, chiara, claudia faniello and many more!! So yeah esc doesnt deserve us

The performance was good, but the song didn't stand out, have an edge or wasn't catchy enough, amongst many other female performers in both semi finals. Maybe it wasn't your thing, but Estonia & Latvia did something different, people that like that sort of thing voted for that, while people who like a female performer were spoilt for choice & split their votes.
Btw Malta were last in the final in 2021, whilst in the last 15 years Latvia has only been in the final in 2016 & 2015. I doubt every time their act was just rubbish. It happens. 11 countries are eliminated & it can be tough.

Latvia was boring and would have preferred if ballad lile denmark’s went through. A lot of pop somgs go through such as austria,cyprus, luxembourg and georgia this year, why shouldnt we. She put a super hell of a performamce with flips that where never seen + BLINDFOLDED. Were so proud of her and so happy that she has moved on from this rubbish quickly to make more music

How this song didn't qualify is beyond me. The song was the one before last in the odds tonight and made it up to 11th place in the span of 45 minutes and STILL didn't qualify. When the person who was LAST in the odds qualified!! I'm so shocked. She worked so hard.. well done Sarah. We hope that the Eurovision is only just a stepping stone to your career filled with lots of dancing, singing and having the time of your life. We're all so proud of you 💞

I think she is a super good singer! One of the best singers in the contestant. But to me the song isn't memorable and the visuals were boring and overall it was underwhelming. Also doesn't help when you're the first to perform.

This girl had everything to qualify, and is still in my top 10 best songs of 2024, but they decided not to classify her and I still don't know why. This performance has everything! And it's much better than several others that made it to the final (it's even much better than many that made it to the top 10 of the final).

You’re literally explaining why Sweden does better lol. It’s because they’re actually providing quality production and innovative staging in the contest while others leave their entries sounding like melfest rejects
Secondly what part of this song is sincere ? No shade to the artist but anyone could have been given this song it is your standard girl in a silver outfit flipping her hair on stage. We see this EVERY year. If you’re going to go for that genre at least be the best in that genre: Cyprus Greece and Austria did it miles better. You’re already coming with a basic package and then you’re not even going to be the best in that genre is just laughable
@@samuelgalea7679 Sweden always has good staging and that's why they're doing good, because their songs are just standard tbh (Heroes for example was a very average song that won solely because of the staging, and I'd say that about Tattoo as well although it's a bit less there).
What I meant with sincerity is that Sarah's not acting, she's living it (Silia and Marina too). I don't get that feeling from Kaleen or the twins, Kaleen is the perfect example of being the girl in a silver outfit twisting her hair around and then she can't even sing. Furthermore, Malta's songs always sound kind of amateurish and have a certain charme.
Next thing about the genres. Greece was going for an ethnic girl bop which is definitely different and less comparable. Austria was going for a nostalgic feeling while Malta didn't, which made it sound like a Melfest reject (I admit this). Cyprus is comparable easily as the songs are very similar, but of those I prefer Malta by far.
Lastly, Malta actually did something original on stage, that being the backflip. Can't say that about Austria (although I also liked their dance break) or Cyprus (I really disliked their dance break, there wasn't enough energy for me). We're not seeing that every year, as iirc only Mikolas did a backflip in 2018 and Donny used a blindfold in 2012, so Sarah was the first doing both.
Concluded: I think Sarah had the best girl bop.
