So many think it's taboo to demand God show himself real. He answers! I was ready to self delete in Nov 97, cussed God out; demanded he show or I'd do it. Three times that night. 2 I won't bother here; 1 was super natural other personal; last time I opened my bible to 1st Kings 18 where Elijah wanted to end his life. In my hurt and pain he showed up while I was at my worst.

I asked God before falling asleep for a vision or encounter. I closed my eyes and I saw a man holding a sign that says Daniel 2:28. It had a paragraph I couldn’t make out. This is what Daniel 2:28 says but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are these: I think God was telling me if I want them, I can ask and work on them with Him. I found it incredible.

A friend of mine once asked me to come to him and listen to his speaking in tongues and express my opinion on whether it is real human language. (I am extensive expertise in linguistics, knowing personally 16 foreign languages.) I’ve walked together with him and listened to his long prayer or praises in a tongue (about 10-15 minutes). My conclusion to him was that it sounded like an ordinary foreign language (to my big surprise), having seemingly the same frequency and statistical characteristics that all human languages have; and that for a final and “mathematical” proof I need to have it transcribed it run through my software. The friend said “it’s enough, no need to proceed with transcribing” and I left.
God has to know that the world is LOUD and pushes against everything God stands for. And so, I’d have to suspect that He also knows that EVERYONE will come to this “crisis” moment and cry out to/for Him. - I’d say it’s almost inevitable….so why would it hurt or anger Him? I’m like you - I wonder about it, but reason has led me to believe it’s part of the journey.

I don't think we should give God an ultimatium but I did and He saved me. He saved my body because He knew I would belong to Him! No one should try to kill themself! If you do, you surely shouldn't if you aren't saved because you know where you will go and whatever you are trying to escape on earth is nothing compared to the torture and pain in hell! Give up this life only to God! Stay here living for Him until He calls you home to be with Him! He loves us more than everyone here does more times over than we can count! What HE has prepared for us doesn't just start in heaven! He has a plan for us here and can make an ugly life beautiful! Believe, trust and love Him no matter how things look or how you feel! He is above all of that and He will show you He knows you He has me and He loves us equally so He will for you I can promise!
YES! The bible OPENS..the VEIL is LIFTED at some point when you keep reading it and truly with your heart and spirit seek HIM! It's not just a book! IT IS THE LIVING WORD OF GOD! What does that mean? I’m so worried about my 89 year old mother. I have no idea how to help her. She was raised in the ‘just FEAR the Lord’ days. She says she loves the Lord but never goes to church, almost never opens her Bible, (and I’m nearly sure she hasn’t read the whole Book). She says she was baptized (I think) in her 20s. (I think she has that set it and forget it mentality, because she doesn’t like talking about God). I pray, fret, worry, and TRY to talk to her about God. She’d much rather watch TV. As far as I can tell, it doesn’t appear that she has any real relationship with Him. I pray to God that I am wrong. I wish I knew how to help her. Her name is Juanita. Please help me pray for her. She’s always been a hard working and good mother to four children. But spiritually, I can’t see where she has taken time to get to know Jesus. Surely God’s “software” and techniques for controlling the Universe are not less capable than ours!
The way this guy did it was wrong. Making an ultimatum with God is to test God which is a sin (Matthew 4:7) there is a right way to seek Gods presence and that's not in prideful demands, its in humility which is harder because we must deny ourselves and learn our place.

I've heard there are angels assigned to churches but only if they're speaking biblical truth. I've seen an angel at my church and didn't realize who he was untill I heard about this. The angel over the church. If a pastor doesn't speak truth and/or leading people away from biblical truth the angel will leave.

If you continue to listen, he does talk about holiness and sanctification and living a pure life so I don’t interpret it that he’s continued boss God around. But more honest about what was going on in his heart and crying out to God in a certain way, and God in his grace and mercy showed up and made himself very real to him.and proved Himself very personal & real.

This is heresy, which means he is lying. You do not give God an ultimatum. He doesn't have to prove himself to anyone. He's already done so as his word clearly tells us. So, if this man would have chosen to turn to the world and would have died in his sins and went to hell it would have been his own fault. Dont think it falls in category of heresy. The ultimatum is definitely a sin (Mathew 4:7) but that doesn't mean God can not show him grace in spite of his rebellion.
What makes you think this? I am trying to figure out if it is really God speaking to me? Have tested the spirits and it is acknowledged that Jesus came in the flesh, but I am still not 100% certain.
You receive the gift of Holy Spirit at water baptism. Bible talks about how speaking in tongues is useless babble unless interpreted. I quit listening when tongues came out. Speaking in tongues literally means... "Speaking in another language". When in Acts they were speaking in tongues... The other people in other languages all could understand. It has nothing to do with gibberish. Truth
In response to your statement, "You receive the gift of Holy Spirit at water baptism," Read Acts 10:44-48 and Acts 19:1-7. These passages are irrefutable evidence that these are two distinct events. As far as speaking in tongues, there is much more for you to learn about that as well. Paul says that he speaks in tongues more than anyone else but he does so privately unless there is an interpretation because people ignorant of it would think it was gibberish.

A friend of mine once asked me to come to him and listen to his speaking in tongues and express my opinion on whether it is real human language. (I am extensive expertise in linguistics, knowing personally 16 foreign languages.) I’ve walked together with him and listened to his long prayer or praises in a tongue (about 10-15 minutes). My conclusion to him was that it sounded like an ordinary foreign language (to my big surprise), having seemingly the same frequency and statistical characteristics that all human languages have; and that for a final and “mathematical” proof I need to have it transcribed it run through my software. The friend said “it’s enough, no need to proceed with transcribing” and I left.

God has to know that the world is LOUD and pushes against everything God stands for. And so, I’d have to suspect that He also knows that EVERYONE will come to this “crisis” moment and cry out to/for Him. - I’d say it’s almost inevitable….so why would it hurt or anger Him?
I’m like you - I wonder about it, but reason has led me to believe it’s part of the journey.

Regarding the ability to see or distinguish between the two spiritual realms referred to in scripture as the “Gifts of the Holy Spirit.” Specifically, your discussion on discernment or distinguishing of spirits through and by the Holy Spirit. I Corinthians 12: 4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.

So I checked out the JH Ranch website and considering that they charge up to $5K per person it feels more like the tables of the money changers at the temple type of situation. I enjoyed the interview though.
I don't think we should give God an ultimatium but I did and He saved me. He saved my body because He knew I would belong to Him! No one should try to kill themself! If you do, you surely shouldn't if you aren't saved because you know where you will go and whatever you are trying to escape on earth is nothing compared to the torture and pain in hell! Give up this life only to God! Stay here living for Him until He calls you home to be with Him! He loves us more than everyone here does more times over than we can count! What HE has prepared for us doesn't just start in heaven! He has a plan for us here and can make an ugly life beautiful! Believe, trust and love Him no matter how things look or how you feel! He is above all of that and He will show you He knows you He has me and He loves us equally so He will for you I can promise!
YES! The bible OPENS..the VEIL is LIFTED at some point when you keep reading it and truly with your heart and spirit seek HIM! It's not just a book! IT IS THE LIVING WORD OF GOD! What does that mean? The Word is alive its connected not just in words..it must be our spirit connecting with HIS! You will be able to feel it! You can't ever deny it again.....I can't! It starts not being able to hardly understand it at all to going to the opposite of that! If you keep seeking in life and in the Word and also hearing the Word of God! I’m so worried about my 89 year old mother. I have no idea how to help her. She was raised in the ‘just FEAR the Lord’ days.
She says she loves the Lord but never goes to church, almost never opens her Bible, (and I’m nearly sure she hasn’t read the whole Book). She says she was baptized (I think) in her 20s. (I think she has that set it and forget it mentality, because she doesn’t like talking about God).
I pray, fret, worry, and TRY to talk to her about God. She’d much rather watch TV. As far as I can tell, it doesn’t appear that she has any real relationship with Him. I pray to God that I am wrong. I wish I knew how to help her.

The way this guy did it was wrong. Making an ultimatum with God is to test God which is a sin (Matthew 4:7) there is a right way to seek Gods presence and that's not in prideful demands, its in humility which is harder because we must deny ourselves and learn our place.

I've heard there are angels assigned to churches but only if they're speaking biblical truth. I've seen an angel at my church and didn't realize who he was untill I heard about this. The angel over the church.
If a pastor doesn't speak truth and/or leading people away from biblical truth the angel will leave.

If you continue to listen, he does talk about holiness and sanctification and living a pure life so I don’t interpret it that he’s continued boss God around. But more honest about what was going on in his heart and crying out to God in a certain way, and God in his grace and mercy showed up and made himself very real to him.and proved Himself very personal & real.

I think this young man is eccentric. I'm not trying to be mean. I believe that God answers prayers. I believe and know that miracles happen. But seeing some of these things he's claiming to see is out there. Be careful. Be very careful, bc you can find yourself thinking you are a profit. A false profits. Jesus warns us about this. This is heresy, which means he is lying. You do not give God an ultimatum. He doesn't have to prove himself to anyone. He's already done so as his word clearly tells us. So, if this man would have chosen to turn to the world and would have died in his sins and went to hell it would have been his own fault.

Dont think it falls in category of heresy. The ultimatum is definitely a sin (Mathew 4:7) but that doesn't mean God can not show him grace in spite of his rebellion.

What makes you think this? I am trying to figure out if it is really God speaking to me? Have tested the spirits and it is acknowledged that Jesus came in the flesh, but I am still not 100% certain.

Speaking in tongues literally means... "Speaking in another language". When in Acts they were speaking in tongues... The other people in other languages all could understand. It has nothing to do with gibberish.

Read Acts 10:44-48 and Acts 19:1-7. These passages are irrefutable evidence that these are two distinct events.
As far as speaking in tongues, there is much more for you to learn about that as well. Paul says that he speaks in tongues more than anyone else but he does so privately unless there is an interpretation because people ignorant of it would think it was gibberish.
