Went to see Hillsong United in Indianapolis for 2019 tour. Was disappointed when I found out it wasn't Harrison Wood or Dan McMurray 9n tour playing drums. Amanda Cook opened for Hillsong and I was impressed by her drummer. Found out the next day it was Daniel McMurray! They played this song and he absolutely killed it! Love this guy!
Happened to me as well. I was like damn Amanda’s drummer was better than Hillsongs. Then found out it was McMurray. The dude is a powerhouse I don’t understand how the kit doesn’t break.
It’s easy. The song is at 4/4 so it’s 1 2 3 4 and so on. In the beginning it just starts of hitting the kick on beats 1 3 1 3. Then the other part is just 1 2 3 4 and repeat. It’s all just accents on the floor tom making it sounds like a different pattern. Its all on the floor tom😁
It looks like his ride is a Dream Bliss Series Small Bell Flat Ride 24” but I can’t determine his crashes and his hats. Guessing they are Dream cymbals too.
This tour he was using Gretsch Renown series drums. 24, 13, 16. Dream cymbals 24 small bell flat ride and I believe 2x 22 inch dream contact crash/rides. And a 14x6,5 black bird sunday series brass snare.
This guy goes from scratching his back with the sticks to looking like he hits the floor on some of those crashes. Boss
