GenXer here too. I was/am a tomboy who climbed to the tops of trees better than some of my guy friends. Because I was a gymnast and acrobat so I had great uper body strength. 😂 I really miss those days. Fifty-three now and everything hurts. 😂

TBF my neighbors is a GenX Karin has a grandkid and she's afraid of leaves so tossed them out and wrecked my composting attempt, hence my comment about fearing leaves and branches. We did our own screwed up stuff as kids.

Chickem Pox "parties" was common. I was involved in one, got Chicken Pox, got my body to produce antibodies, then went back to school after it was over.
