Really cool PC and I can certainly relate to that nostalgic feeling of "getting back" your childhood computer! I'd love to see some more videos on it in regular use. 286 doesn't get enough love IMHO!
After searching for years I managed to track down my own holy grail PC here in Norway - A Copam+ 286M. It's made in Taiwan, but Copam+ was a huge seller in Norway in the late 1980s and early 1990s for late 286s and 386s. Sadly very few have survived, and on our Norwegian equivalent to ebay I've been searching for ten years and had no luck until recently. It's in good shape cosmetically, but of course, battery leakage will require some hard restoration work before I even try to test it.

I think I have a set of speakers that were part of the Sound Blaster CD kit.

Graviton II (internet archive if you need it) is a 286 staple as far as I am concerned.

The XT-IDE and the VGA BIOSes don't overlap and don't have conflicts, unless you have them set to the same address. If you try the XT-IDE again, make sure its BIOS is set to D000 and there won't be any conflicts (most video BIOSes are C000 or C800).

I tried all the addresses on the XTIDE and it still didn’t work. The vga conflict was a was just a guess. Thanks for clearing it up.

@@JeremysRetroBar You may have had a port conflict instead of an address conflict. I believe the board you were using had a jumper for selecting a different port range.
If you tried all combinations of both port addresses and ROM memory segments, is it possible your board might be broken? A 386+ should be able to run any XT-IDE BIOS configuration, so if you have another one you might want to test the board in that to see if it works there. (I can't recommend an 8088 for testing because if the BIOS was configured for 286+, it won't boot)
