Thanks Tabassum for remembering the forgotten one of the most beautiful actresses of Hindi cinema.
It was so sad that she was exploited in her last deys of life and she could not get the respectful final rites when she left this world at very young age.

I was shocked to read in 'Times of India' mumbai , where I read the news that actress Vimi died and her body was claimed after 5 days from municipal hospital morgue. I was studying in IX std and a week before I was invited by our milk man who was of my age to see the movie HAMRAAZ which was a re-run in new print. I was really sad and shattered. It made me think about life and the film Industry.

I always thought why this beautiful heroine vanished..she led a tragic life. Very heartbreaking. RIP.
It is believed that her husband was her manager and all the proceeds of her first movie were invested in marketing her as the next big thing. Not only did he decide what movies she chose, but he decided her fees and terms. One release and her remuneration was raised to Rs 1 lakh, which during her time, only Vaijayanti Mala and Sadhana could demand. But soon producers realized she was overrated and they started backing off. This was when problems started surfacing in her household and her husband also realized that she was no more a hen laying golden eggs, and he left her. Her death was so devastating, that the street where her car crossed would once crowd to catch up a glimpse of her and many returned disappointed. But on her way to moratorium, while she was carried on kele ka thela none knew that it was the same heroine for whose car they stranded for hours on the streets

She lived life very fast. At the age of 31 I was enjoying my life with my parents at the age of 33 I got married. Feeling like I have to see, want to experience many more things in my life.
