Very interesting! I've never seen this option for making removable badge reels, it seems to be much sturdier than the dual lock acrylic. My question though, is how far off the base of the reel does the decorative badge sit? Do you find that people are more likely to lean toward this type of securing the badge, rather than the velcro? Right now, I just super glue the badge to the reel.
I measured it & there's a 0.29" gap. Most of my RNs prefer snaps but my RT friends like the magnets. I didn't have luck with the velcro. A lot of my top sellers are small areas like the skeleton, fleur & Mardi Gras masks so using velcro they pop off to easy.
Couldn't you just cement the female end of the button to the badge reel instead of having to purchase faux leather and go through all the extra work of cutting it on the Cricut? Then it would also be less bulky too.
I've had a bunch pop off the reel any other way I tried. This makes it more sold since it gives more surface area that is cemented. This is how I do it but you do you.
