Try to look at that trail on Google earth or any trail for that matter, I study all my routes like I am going to be tested on it LOL I enjoy finding the best roads. Hand gaurds on the harley made all the difference! Base layers are needed for any colder weather riding pants i use carhartt flannel + base layer and if below 45 I will use chaps below 40 I use base layer and snowboard pants top is baselayer then nike compression fit mid then fleece then winblock coat gloves harley cold weather with silk liner I don't have heated grips never have neck warmer light wool hat and half helmet ride 38 degrees and above but have been colder! Have fun!!!
Great pointers! I have used Google earth for roads but never trails. I will have to give that a try. My biggest problem with cold weather gear is gloves. I can't seem to find any that I really like. The heated grips are a really nice added feature. Combined with the hand guards it makes a huge difference. I really want to add some on the Harley! I go full face helmet for the cold.
I got burned by my phone compass in NYC lol damn tall buildings threw it off and I didn't realize it until I walked a few blocks in the wrong direction lol.
I live in North East CT. I have a GSA also. We have great riding around here.
I have not yet explored CT yet. I usually end up heading North
I was exploring around Savoy state forest a month ago.
Have you ridden any of the NEBDR? I would love to ride the whole thing
@@HowiesAdventures no. I own land in northern Maine that's why I got the BMW and sold my RG.
@@jamesoliver565 Very nice! Maine is a beautiful place to explore. I've only been once by bike, but I'll be back for sure!
