And FL never realized that what she did to ML was wrong, she blamed the ML for his cruelty, what about her own?!! The ML's words at end of drama sums it well: "I have loved you, I have hated you" The hatred started with FL's cruel lies! Upsetting to view this drama, hope that they put more resources in writing better quality stories, for acting skill is important, but a bad story ruined it all!
While I agree with you on the FL being an idiot at the beginning, I absolutely, absolutely disagree with your take on the ML’s ridiculous torture and unnecessary revenge. Firstly she ONLY left him and said some cruel words, she did not do anything as much as to harm him physically or what not. While you may argue that she caused emotional and mental trauma to him, it is unacceptable for him to use that as an excuse to do such horrible things to her. While all she did was create emotional damage to him, he did both to her, and way worse than what she did to him. He never at any point decided have mercy on her or thought that it was enough and he should stop or let it go until she ‘died’ half way in the show. Please do not try to justify his horrible choices of actions with what she did at the start. A warm, good hearted person who claims to love someone else will never do such insane things bcos their significant other half broke up with them. This is called being a gas lighter, cruel at the core and an extremist. On the other hand, I think it was stupid of her to lie to him at the start, bcos whatever cancer it was, she was still alive after 3 years. And then if she really wanted to do him good with her break up at the start, she should’ve really disappeared for good. Go run somewhere and hide, and don’t enter his life ever again.

Or-- try every effort to tell ML the truth to clarify about her cruel words (which I don't think this ML will listen or believe anyway)! As always wang gege gave justice to this character never fail to satisfy me I cannot totally blame the ML although what he did to her is really over the top- she just needed to be honest but she chose to be selfish, i know she sacrifice a lot however she also sacrifice what the ML would feel- i don't wanna say the FL.deserve the outcome of her first decision she had her own struggles too but she should have thought that the man who loves her have his own struggle too.the world do not just revolve on hers a cause and effect. lack of trust lack of honesty is a total relationship killer
