Life at the University of Warwick has been quite disheartening for me since I arrived a few months ago. The hope of making friends from diverse backgrounds feels like an illusion here in the UK. The student population is predominantly Chinese, making up about 60%, with most others from Asian countries. It feels like everyone sticks to their own racial or ethnic groups-whether it's Chinese with Chinese, Black with Black, or Indians with Indians. It's rare to find a truly diverse group where people from different cultures mix. No one really goes out of their way to be friendly. Even in class, people barely acknowledge each other, and classmates won’t even say goodbye after the lecture ends. The idea of having an active social life-hanging out with friends from all over, going to pubs, clubs, parks, and on adventures like trekking or diving-feels like a fantasy that’s never going to happen. People seem so closed off; no one invites you for a drink or even a casual chat. Student life and social interactions here feel dull and uninspiring. It’s as if everyone’s just focused on finishing their studies and then retreating to their rooms. In the smaller cities, it’s even worse-everything shuts down by 7 or 8 p.m., and the streets feel deserted. The loneliness and isolation make it hard to enjoy anything, even if you're earning money. What’s the point of making a living if you have no one to share experiences with? In class, it feels like you’re surrounded by socially awkward groups who keep to themselves, and outside, you don’t see much interaction with the local British population. Occasionally, you might spot an Indian person with a British friend, but that’s rare. Life here feels monotonous-earn, spend on yourself, eat, sleep, and repeat, all while feeling alone. Maybe other European or Western countries, though harder to move to, might offer a better quality of life. The social atmosphere in the UK just feels stagnant, and people seem to prefer isolation over connecting with others.
bro is interviewing the person who just came to the UK one year ago, reality is totally different, speak with someone who is living here atleast since 3 years or he/she is at the end of PSW then you will get to know what the reality is. Just wait and watch, the boy in this video will change his statement after few years. But agar visa sponsorship khareed le to wo alag bat hai which doesn’t make sense Wherever I will see the misleading information, I will write straight away because this is my responsibility not to misguide my juniors
