Don't think that will happen . I'm still waiting for the world to get more safer and winter to be over so next year I can pick up my big brothers '32 Ford . Ran across your channel looking for help with installing a rear back glass on my 57 chevy belair hardtop. Never done it and alittle nervous. But I look forward to your videos bc my family has a few tri fives. 57 nomad, 57 hardtop, 56 hardtop and 2 55 chevy sedans.
Hey Scott! The rear glass is pretty durable really man! Just make sure you have the little flat clips that hold the window trim on first! They just snap onto the window channel top and bottom! Then get your new rubber seal all around the glass! Once you get your seal on there work a 1/4 inch thick piece of rope all the way around the window seal inside the channel of the rubber! Leave some rope hanging out to pull it back out once the window starts going in! Set the window into the car, I normally set the window in on the bottom first! Have someone outside pushing lightly against the glass as you slowly pull the rope out of the rubber seal! The rope will pull the rubber seal around the window channel! Take your time and you'll get it in! You can use a little dish soap on the window seal to help it work around the window channel on the body of the car! Catch you next time 👍

Hey Scott! When I got the car is was all taken apart and the nose was setting inside the car. No side trim multiple different colors of paint and primer just the front glass was in the car. I had to find all the glass and side trim. There's a bunch of videos on my channel about the car. Have a good one Buddy 👍

I can’t do things that I use to do it haha, my physical condition needs to be rebuilt lol 😂 but since you are rebuilding a 57 wagon can I fix my two door wagon tailgate with the push button instead of the twist hand? And what all would I need, I’ve always wanted to do that to my wagon. Thank you sir God bless
Hey D Lafrontis! You will need the push button assembly off a nomad along with the little metal linkage rods. You may have to do some drilling of some sort to create the 2 holes to secure the push button to your tailgate. It would truck if you could pull that off! Have a good one Buddy ✌️

Hey Jim! I would say your side glass goes in like a front windshiled. Normally the window seal goes around the pinch welds and you need rope to walk the seal on. These nomad Windows just set in the window frames and the clips secure the window. Have a good one Buddy 👍

He way doing a really nice 57 with a Buick Road master chassis up until about 4 months ago when he just went AWOL. Sure wish I could see the finished product. Ok Frank I'll ask around see if anyone knows anything. Sometimes I've noticed a TH-cam channel just goes quite! Man life happens somethings and it also easy to get burnt out if your doing something to much! If I hear something I'll let you know. Later man ✌
The Handyman glass goes in pretty much like a windshield with the garnish molding holding it in place . Here's a tip for you , if the rubber molding won't stay on the glass , use a piece of masking tape to hold it up onto the glass until you get it in place , depending on how big the rubber is it may require several pieces of tape .
Hey Bob! No that you mention the Handyman glass I do remember the seal. It's like a windshield exactly. Nice and slow wind on them windows. I'll remember the tape trick thanks. The dam window seal was falling down just enough to hang up the window. Have a good one Buddy 👍
Don, great video. I now can see how that curved glass goes in. So most of the clips are for the window to not fall inside so I assume the only thing holding it from popping out is the outside chrome trim?
Thanks Dean! Yeah the clips and screws inside secure the window against the stainless on the outside. The stainless in hollow in the middle and slides over the pinch weld around the window opening. It was take some serious power to shove the widows out. Have a good one Buddy 👍

Hey 1 Yeah the bottom tailgate and all the chrome strips are made new reproduction! Bits its exspensive as heck! The top lift gate is not reproduced. That is a very cool idea man. They sell just the outer tailgate skin of you could graft it into your truck tailgate. Have a good one Buddy 👍
