Extraordinarily apollonian music! The Muses could easily have made it their own symbol of charm! Apart from any technic question, in my humble opinion, "dancing" elements prevail in this piece. "Fury" adopted by some renowned artists, is useless show off. Prestissimo does not reflect Chopin's intention ... Thank you, Mo Niemczuk, for showing us the essential meaning of deep and absolute musicality.
To drugi obejrzany przeze mnie film na tym kanale. Pan wydaje mi się w jakiś sposób bliski, gdyż treści jakie są tu przekazywane praktycznie od razu trafiają do mnie. Czuję, w danej problematyce dotyka pan sedna sprawy. Dobra robota! Dziękuję
Great video, as always! But about not playing the complete cycle, I think the contrast between preludes no. 2 and 3 is absolutely amazing. In my opinion it's the saddest and darkest prelude right beside the happiest and lightest. maybe that was even intended, unlikely but it could be
Of course it's my, a bit too radical opinion. But did Bach think about Preludes and Fugues as a cycle? Of course not. And what's more: Chopin never played them as a cycle like Sonata or something like that. For me they are not intended to be played as the whole. Also Debussy's for example. Same thing.
@@gregniemczuk Yes i completely agree with you! Still, I think that performing them as a cycle creates a great effect and is very valid. We should remind ourselves that Chopin didn't play a lot of works in their entirety. Cello sonata, for example. Great to get your replies, Greg! Best wishes
You've talked about the 2nds motif going through all the preludes. I've taken time to go through all of them and find the 2nds motifs in all of them myself. This one (and no.16) I can't seem to find. Where would you say it is?
I enjoyed your passion and your interpretation of the humour of the singing voice against the tech left hand.. maybe I would have avoid the point of writing a happy prelude because Chopin is happy and write a sad music piece because he is sad in Maiorca...come on! is a great island compared to Poland! well done I'd say anythough
Bardzo lubię tego Chopina "jasnego", z tego preludium, jak i z przedostatniego. Z niektórych etiud. Piękno i oryginalność w tonacjach durowych wydaje się w epoce Romantyzmu trudniejsze do osiągnięcia niż w molowych, a jednak Chopin stworzył tu swój własny, promienny mikrokosmos. Szkoda, że tak niewiele tych utworów i że tak są krótkie.
Not exactly. He did not write pedal at all, whereas in other preludes he wrote it carefully and a lot. And what's more he wrote the original fingering for the right hand to make a perfect legato using only fingers.

This is such a happy piece, I imagine myself daydreaming by a babbling brook.
I am learning these preludes in order, do you think that is a bad idea? I like the contrast when playing them in order.

That's a little tricky in fact.
In this one it's in the right hand. In no.16 it might be 3 times and the very beginning in the melody

Zgadzam się ! Ja też bardzo go lubię, gdy maluje jasnymi barwami i dzieli się jasną częścią swej duszy.
