- Springtime means it's time to start pruning roses! And rose pruning is easy with a little know-how (and plenty of protective gear!). It helps guarantee that your rose bushes will get a lot more blooms.
In this video, I'll show you how to prune some standard hybrid varieties, like knockout roses. Then we'll tackle some climbing roses like Cloud 10, Cecile Bruner, and _Peggy Martin_.

Thanks for showing your pruning technique.
My pleasure
Hey Ryan great explanation of rose pruning they are a prickly bunch for sure 😂😂😂 🍻🍻🍻
You got that right!
👍
👍👍🍻
I always lop my roses back in the fall here in Southern New England, and they come back fine in the spring.
👍👍 🌹
Great stuff Ryan. Another great video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you enjoyed it👍👍
Fun fun Ryan ☺️
Spring is here Raven!!!!😁
Ryan, do you like the Dewalt for big cutting? I'm debating between the one you have and one of those mini chainsaws they have out now. I'm not sure which is better for gardening type use.
I’d go Dewalt sawsall if you aren’t cutting pretty large trees. That way you don’t have to worry about sharpening chains or bar oil or any of the other problems that come along with an actual chainsaw the one I have is just charge the battery and change the blade out every once in a while and you’re good to go
@@grassrootsgardening great, thanks Ryan
Can you start your knock out cutting's? I don't normally like them but a friend has a yellow one that I really enjoy but haven't fond for sale. We've talked about it but I haven't been brave enough to try rooting a cutting.
i'll try to do a cutting and propagation video soon
Thank you, I will look forward to it.
Great video! I just walk out and tell my roses hang on we are just in the spring testing phase. We have a couple more winters to go through. Then they can have new big pots and soil to spread their roots out in. I have one of the big thorned wild one that attacks me every year. My arms and hands look like a mountain lion bare handed and lost. I just tell people I am a walking band-aid advertisement. 🤕🩹
😂 thanks so much for the comment!!
