    Thanks, from across the pond. About to do redo my chimney. I've never don't any type of brick work so this should be fun.... soon as i get another nice day here in Virginia 😆

      @GMT Pointing specialists ltd, have you ever used the dimond tuck bits for the vertical joints? If so, is it worth it for a newbie?

      @@detroitsurvivor4989 hi yes they are only good on very soft mortar
      I only use diamond blades if I'm raking out with a grinder

      How many do you need

      @MrCobbsalad how many blades do you need if its 1 or 2
      Try screwfix or toolstation or your local builders merchants
      If you want more try diatech in Scotland

    Would it not be cheaper to knock the wall down and rebuild?

      It would be about 10 times, dearer to rebuild it
      The bricks would cost more than the repointing cost
      So its much cheaper to repoint it
