By the same team that brought us Sega Road Avenger comes Revenge of the Ninja. Another memory game, which isnt actually too bad on Easy ! (as seen)
I wouldnt have wanted to pay full price though for this potentialy short game. -

The game eariler laserdice games such as Don Bluth's Dragon Lair, Ninja Hayate contains traps and creatures that requires players to dodge or attack them at specific moments, by watching for the warning buzzer (like Dragon's Lair) in addition to flashing objects (e.g. arrows, buttons, light, etc.). If a player makes a mistake, one life decreases, and when players run out of lives, the game ends. The game Sega CD version was published by Renovation Products, Telenet Japan's North American subsidiary. Renovation sent "Master of the Ninja Arts" diplomas to players who mailed them photographic proof that they had beaten the game on hard mode. Revenge of the Ninja was also later converted by Ecseco to the Sega Saturn and PlayStation. The original arcade version had no music except opening and ending theme. Entire music played on the Sega CD version were newly composed.
Amazing how none of the single enemies follow him after he runs away.

The ninja hero and damsel-in-distress in this game look very similar (if not the same as) to the respective characters in the NES game "The Legend of Kage", which was also produced by the Taito Corporation.
You have 2 Lifes to pass the stages but becareful if you missed up the quick event you lose the life

Well, that was bad. Stage three was four buttons long. Some scenes were overused (bomb-throwing ninja ?), others were just plain silly (the wolves for instance). I still wonder how the glider didn't crash considering how badly torn it was, and how it magically repaired itself by the way.
To to top it all, the hero's voice is as annoying as heck. Sorry, but while Road Avenger was pretty cool, this one is just bland at most.
