I have mars atmakarka , i took medical in 12 class and later when I could not get seat in MBBS , changed my stream, but after so many years i have started studying alternate therapies like naturopathy, yoga and accupressure, i feel immense satisfaction.
It is more connected to jobs which need quick working..like cerical jobs ..fire fighters..military defense..anywhere which require proactive n quick approaches..medical is profession which requires slower approach..so it cant be..may be in your case its more connected to your nature and temperament..some other planet has effect or influence on your career..your ketu placement may be..or something in your 8th house probably

I have atmakaraka mars in 10th house in aries bharini aspecting moon, I am courageous in physical manners that I dont even use but in publishing my ideas and work on them Im so coward till now to do it cause my amatmakaraka Sun is in the 12th house with ketu and saturn with the same degree as sun in exaulted in 7th house and retrograde. its a little hard till now I hope it get better but its okay any way Im always gratefull🙏❤️

Such kind of attitude looks good as long as someone is passionate about their career. But in terms of relationships, this behaviour can be very toxic and despicable. My sister has this Atmaakarak and she is really a tough cookie to handle. She can be selfish but expect others to be 100%committed to her. Now she's married and due to her attitude, she suffered in marriage as well. Now, life has taught her hard way and she has become a bit humbled, but earlier, it was hard to get along with her.
That's what comes with Mars you have to learn to use the Mars energy in positive way and most importantly how to handle that energy. I am also Mars atmakaraka and till my teen age I was extremely aggressive but got humbled by time

Holistic healing is more connected to Ketu ruled nakshatras - like Ashwini.
