It's one thing to have around 1,900 songs worth on cd's, it's another thing altogether to have around 1,900 songs "liked" on Spotify, which all really mean something to you. Within that list, this song is one of my very favourites. Genre is irrelevant when it comes to pieces of music such as this. One of the most beautiful songs ever written, in my book at least and country isn't usually my top genre. Not sure if this music would come under folk, whatever, it's amazing. Thank you for sharing this, his voice is just amazing, even if he couldn't remember all the words to his own song, his voice more than made up for it. ❤❤ not bad on the eye either, something rare for this bloke to say. I'd seriously consider turning if he took an interest.😂
Seen him in Dublin earlier this month. His ability to have everyone laughing one minute and then turn the room into a church the next is incredible. Amazing song writer.
Joe has been my favorite artist since I discovered his music in 2008 via KIA commercial. STILL haven't seen him live. Never met a single soul IRL that knows his music. My only chance is drag my friends with when he plays at hotel cafe. Do I just commit to a solo journey? :D
I once saw Joe Purdy live, on a whim, here in Chicago. I dragged along a girl I really liked (now my ex) to the show. The Milk Carton Kids opened for him that night, and we were enthralled from start to finish. Amazing show/evening all around. Well, here I am however many years later, listening to this particular song because I was reminiscing about my ex girl and "what might have been". Long story short, you never know when an outing like that might help you fall in love, or when a pandemic may come around and rob us of the opportunities. Do your best to see him live.
